Professional googler
Programmer or sysad?
Could also be data analyst, I'm also a professional googler.
At my last job interview, I was asked if I knew how to deal with this issue or that issue, and I said "in any case, I'm not an idiot. If there's an issue I can't resolve, there's plenty of videos and tutorials on Google and YouTube"
The guy's face told me he wasn't expecting that. But I got the job, so I guess it worked.
Made the most money in my life creating and editing power points.
I think I'd rather be homeless
Could be worse, two years of college, three years of university, ended up working as a valet for over a decade 🤷
4 year of specialized schoool to end in construction !!!
Professional success can be measured with the number of emails you send and the number of meeting you attend in a week. Direct correlation.
I'm a maintenance worker and I'm convinced that it's my communication, skills and ability to bullshit my way through emails, which has allowed me to have a career. I'm a master at giving you a long detailed email about an issue that you won't understand and make you think it was a lot more difficult than it was, and how lucky you are to have had me catch it. All my weekly reports are a digital trail of bullshit that makes me look good, but can't be proven false.
I also took meeting notes.
I spent 6 years in college. :(
So then go back, and do something different at college. It is not that hard to do. You did it the first time
