Does anyone have tips for redirecting YouTube links on mobile android?

I tried Firefox with libredirect addon, but it doesn't want to work for some reason.

Simply use LibreTube as your YouTube client as it uses Piped instead of YouTube directly.

Does GrayJay uses an Invidious or Piped instance ? I'm pretty sure it connect to YouTube directly like NewPipe does.

Not sure if this fits your usecase exactly, but LinkSheet can make redirection on android more configurable.

I use libredirect, it works for piped at least. make sure youtube is turned on in services, and "redirect only in incognito" is unchecked. every now and then it might miss one, just refresh the page.

I always use YouTube from the browser. I have never installed the app.
