Why the hell did the person who made this partially replace Randy Quaid’s face?

[-] Bosht@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

Yeah seems to be an emerging trend and I despise it. They're doing face replacement in gifs as well which is particularly annoying. Usually of some streamer trying to self promote.

[-] TheColonel@reddthat.com 6 points 1 year ago

Boy, I sure do love the slow erosion of reality for the sake of self promotion!

[-] Welt@lazysoci.al 5 points 1 year ago

The AI face weirdly looks like the face of the security guard who likes big breasts from Nathan for You. Except Randy's cigar is still hovering there.

"In fact the ones I watch don't even have people."

[-] jim3692@discuss.online 5 points 1 year ago

They said National Geographic, not Discovery Channel

[-] i_love_FFT@jlai.lu 1 points 1 year ago

NG being owned by Disney wouldn't show mammals doing like they do on the Discovery Channel.

[-] perishthethought@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

Haha, so good to know the culture lives on.

[-] Saltycracker@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

[-] daggermoon@lemmy.world 19 points 1 year ago

What if the woman is the one doing the fucking?

[-] Kolanaki@pawb.social 17 points 1 year ago

I only look at porn that is demeaning to cartoons.

[-] finitebanjo@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

TBH men in pornography are often treated like garbage. They often undergo irreversible surgeries to compete and still get treated as expendable. While they seem like they're having a good time on camera it's often quite difficult work and requires constant focus.

[-] HawlSera@lemm.ee 7 points 1 year ago

"Calm down Mom and Dad, it's just a drawing."

[-] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Now let me moralize about drawings, and accuse you of both normalizing the stuff happening on the drawings to the real life, and that you endorse doing the actions depicted in the drawings and want to do it in real life.

It's older than Twitter. First time I encountered it were on forums in the mid 00's (although with some differences), and this kind of brainrot started to get into its current form on Tumblr of all things.

[-] 30p87@feddit.org 7 points 1 year ago

But I fantasize about being the topped woman? What now?

“pornagraphy” that’s when they put the emphasis on the first syllable.

[-] hash@slrpnk.net 1 points 1 year ago
[-] don@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

Ah yes, that would be the venerable Southern US pronunciation, without a doubt. Also possibly used in certain parts of the UK. Quite the treat!

[-] ceenote@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Then it's exclusionary.

[-] aviationeast@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Wait you consider porn actresses women and not things? /s

[-] EtherWhack@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

... Or men.

[-] Empricorn@feddit.nl 2 points 1 year ago

If they chose to do it because they want to, how is that "demeaning"?

[-] zloubida@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

It's not that extreme with pornography, but if a black man acted in a KKK propaganda film willingly, the message of the film would still be demeaning for black people.

Even if porn actress are doing that willingly, and even if porn films aren't propaganda, they still convey a vision of womanhood which is demeaning.

[-] DreamlandLividity@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Even if porn actress are doing that willingly, and even if porn films aren't propaganda, they still convey a vision of womanhood which is demeaning.

It sounds incredibly sexist to me to say it is demeaning specifically to women or that a woman should have to take some image of womanhood into account when expressing her sexuality or herself in general.

Sounds to me more like you are projecting your own internalized sexism onto porn (your belief that woman's sexual expression is demeaning to women for some reason, but not men).

[-] zloubida@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Man, porn is scripted you know. And by men for men. Porn actresses don't express their sexuality, but the fantasies of the consumers.
