The factory default analog stick on my 3DS has a very smooth texture, and I have to keep repositioning my thumb on it. I've seen one hardware mod where a guy installed a 3D-printed stick on his, but didn't see a how-to and I haven't seen any alternative ideas.

I'm curious what's out there - What's your favorite analog stick mod?

I haven’t done this on my own, but sugru may be an easy way to texturize the c stick without having to take the 3ds apart. I’ve had success with using sugru on quite a few projects

Oh cool, a nifty example right there in the wiki page. Nice! THAT sounds like a much better option over cracking it open & replacing the whole stick.
