A bunch of people just lost their golden goose. Now they need to find another cognitively impaired senator to puppet
don't speak ill of the dead don't speak ill of the dead don't speak ill of the dead
I believe this rule of basic decency does not apply to politicians or the ultra wealthy. Only other humans.
Wow...may she be remembered for all the amazing things she did. Not the way things ended.
And, politics being politics, this complicates many, many things.
I feel like all politicians live long enough to become the villains or in some cases super villains.
Not true! Some retire to the private sector to become villains.
I like to remember Jimmy Carter sometimes. I wish more were like him.
She was a selfish old woman who wouldn't let go of her power even as her body and mind failed her for years. She deserves to be remembered as the harmful, obstructive burden she was. Her seat was needed more than ever in the final years of her life and she clung to it like a leech. We've all suffered for her continued presence in the Senate. Good riddance.
She did so much good and yet tarnished the living fuck out of her legacy by being greedy and selfish. Just sad really.
An icon in holding back progress more like.
Fuck get and fuck get staff, disgrace to the fucking nation all in favor of her lEgAcY
Sorry to hear she died. Still in agreement with others she should've retired years ago, but when you get to an old enough age your routine and job is what really keeps you going. My grandparents were the same way.
Looks like Newsom gets to pick a successor.
Mitch McConnel on the other hand.....better keep an eye on him.
With all due respect to Dianne Feinstein, her death is absolutely going to kickstart discussions about Biden's age into a higher gear.
(Of course, the same people who say they won't vote for Biden because he's too old conveniently ignore the fact that Trump is only a couple of years behind and in much worse health.)
