Hi, i haven't seen any talk about it, but it seems the up until then experimental screen sharing for wayland that landed some months ago on canary has arrived on the regular client with the latest update? I don't see anyone talking about it, am i getting crazy?

Haven't been following discord development, but I did test the screen sharing some days ago on linux - just for laughs - and to my surprise it didn't CTD the app, and it actually streamed the thingy I wanted. Great!

Yes, it works, I am no longer forced to use the web client to share my screen!

However, it should not make a lot of noise because it's feature that should have been working for years at this point...

it can't select audio source unfortunately so it's all desktop audio but way better than nothing

You can probably route the audio you want with helvum or qpwgraph. This is what I've used to route screen sharing audio in the past

This is really good for the average gamer trying out linux. I've seen so many "I switched to linux" videos where the person is unable to screenshare.
