The Death of Software Engineering by a Thousand Prompts
(verdikapuku.com)
i've been using openai for a while and i started working with copilot last month and it's so comparatively bad that it's hard to image a viable world of semi-coders using it.
Ugh. I've seen multiple outsourced systems with the same copypasta password 'encryption'. In quotation marks because it was basically an ASCII flip based on the position of the character. Client was surprised I didn't need to require user re-registration when I was tasked to replace these systems.
Now THOSE developers will be replaced. Abd the industry will be better for it. The good ones though, not so much.
