This is what it's like to be a sperm cell in a modern man's testicles filled with micro plastics.

Made with PyGame and ModernGL and not a lot more on Python because I just don't know any better and even if I did, I have no common sense.

Got started on how 3d rendering worked in the first place with this vid a few weeks ago.

Also, shout out to the AI that made this video for explaining how to get pygame working with moderngl by creating a minecraft clone for educational purposes (lol).

For those of you who like stats or just want to mock my eternity second load time, lack of optimizations of any kind and poor fps:

Anyway, it was a good learning exercise so I'm happy. Thanks for checking it out! :)

I read the part where the creator talks about his story and why he doesn't want his stuff on windows and it made me super sad. Poor guy. Sounds like a cool person too.

[-] Pudutr0n@feddit.cl 2 points 4 days ago

I'll give it a shot. ty

Looks like a fun learning experience!

[-] Pudutr0n@feddit.cl 12 points 4 days ago

It was a bit brutal for me tbh, but seeing it starting to come together was definitely gratifying. I'm not very talented or experienced so usually have to brute force my way through these exercises.

[-] Maiq@lemy.lol 4 points 3 days ago

With every project you do that is over your head you are brute forcing more that just the project. You are shaping yourself. The knowledge gained is a hard fought win! Those are the ones that stick with us the most. The ones that teach us that we can do anything, if we stick with it long enough.

As you continue to learn and progress with anything it is important to remember what you have accomplished and what it took to get there.

Looks like a mix of flying through cereal particles suspended in a liquid, and flying through space.

[-] Pudutr0n@feddit.cl 4 points 4 days ago

I'm gonna pretend like that's what I was going for.

[-] roguetrick@lemmy.world 6 points 4 days ago

Make one that generated a field of low poly penises to fly through next time.

[-] Pudutr0n@feddit.cl 6 points 4 days ago

I was thinking pudus, but to each their own I guess.

[-] morrowind@lemmy.ml 5 points 4 days ago

Man the video encoder does not like all this detail. How big is the file?

Anyway, you may be interested in !generative@lemmy.ml (kinda dead rn, sorry)

Sadly, imgur has a max size of 100mb and maximum duration of 1 min. It also obliterates my on my already compressed H.264 into potatoes. I tried streamable on some older version tests and it looks a bit better. here and here.

Also, great suggestion! Thanks!

[-] Pudutr0n@feddit.cl 3 points 4 days ago

Thanks! I made a new one for you.

think it's the best one yet.

Wow yeah that looks really trippy

The higher fps makes it a lot better on my oled display

[-] Pudutr0n@feddit.cl 3 points 4 days ago

Yeah! Big diff. Running it on 4k is a trip too. My gpu starts burning at around 400.000 solids on that res though and it stops making 6p fps.

Recording with OBS also takes its toll.

[-] asudox@lemmy.asudox.dev 3 points 4 days ago

Try catbox.moe They offer uploads up to 200MB.

[-] Pudutr0n@feddit.cl 2 points 4 days ago

Thanks! Didn't know about that.

I made a new one there just for you.
