Eating fried potatoes with cucumber + sour cream salad right now)

[-] GreyShuck@feddit.uk 3 points 1 month ago

A satsuma. The penultimate element of my lunch.

The ultimate will be a banana, in a few minutes.

A bowl of rice with marge and shoyu

[-] Light_Jooj@lemmy.today 3 points 1 month ago

Homer? What are you doing on Lenny?

[-] Erika3sis@hexbear.net 5 points 1 month ago

Hahahhahahahahahha, yeah marge as in margarine. It's not necessarily a standard term for it in my GenAm ass dialect but it is used in e.g. Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, Irish, and most notably British English, and I liked the sound of it, so I just decided to start calling margarine marge. Both Marge as in Marjorie Bouvier Simpson and marge as in margarine ultimately trace to an Ancient Greek word meaning "pearl", as do the names of pizza Margherita and the margarita cocktail.

A Ricola cough drop, or if that doesn't count, a generic Kodiak Cake.

[-] Light_Jooj@lemmy.today 2 points 1 month ago

Damn, this Kodiak Cake got me hungry again

They're good. This is the second time I've had one. It's like a regular pancake but a bit denser and it has a nice crisp to the outside. I mostly wanted to maple syrup (my brother is friends with the guy who made it) for my sore throat.

We've got the Aldi house brand ones. Good stuff!

Homemade bread; a loaf with olive oil, rye, semolina, and cornmeal.

[-] OceanSoap@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 month ago

Homemade strawberry cheesecake overnight oats. Rolled oats, oat milk, strawberries, chia seeds, monkfruit sweetener. Mix it all together and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Crumbled graham crackers or granola on top for a crunch.

So good, and better for me than I've cream.

Nit sure if pasta or roast chicken with roast pumpkin. There were leftovers for both but I forgot in which order I had them

[-] andrewta@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

[-] Erika3sis@hexbear.net 4 points 1 month ago

Don't eat the chili. They put something in it ta make you forget. I don't even remember how I got here.

[-] Cadende@hexbear.net 2 points 1 month ago

also sushi! (unless you count coffee and an allergy pill)

it was really good. best reasonably priced sushi I've had in years, place seems to be run by a single old japanese lady, just cranking out sushi to-go all day.

[-] Light_Jooj@lemmy.today 1 points 1 month ago

That's nice!

[-] agamemnonymous@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago

The piece of garlic bread I didn't put away last night. Delightfully crunchy.

[-] GriffinClaw@lemm.ee 2 points 1 month ago

Leftover chicken pulao

[-] AZERTY@feddit.nl 2 points 1 month ago

My coworker just surprised me with some donut holes so I guess that.

[-] Light_Jooj@lemmy.today 2 points 1 month ago

I love donuts.

[-] ililiililiililiilili@lemm.ee 2 points 1 month ago

I had a protein bar and a coffee.

[-] mitram2@lemm.ee 2 points 1 month ago

Fried chicken strips coated in batter with tomato rice

[-] swordgeek@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 month ago

A few unsalted mixed nuts from Costco, when I woke up at 2:30 this morning.

[-] JackGreenEarth@lemm.ee 1 points 1 month ago

A slightly imperfectly blended beetroot soup (well, more like a purée, but that's how I like my soups) with dumplings, leftovers from a previous meal, all homemade

[-] federated_toast@lemm.ee 1 points 1 month ago

Tried Trader Joe's red curry noodle bowl for the first time. Little bland and not nearly spicy enough for me, but not bad for the price. Would have liked it with sticky rice, some broccoli and maybe some chicken but as a quick lunch it was all right.

[-] SexMachineStalin@hexbear.net 1 points 1 month ago

Made a pot full of a quick salad with cucumber, tomato, couple of small red onions, chopped up a bag of assorted lettuce salad, a can of tuna and some feta cheese

[-] Maeve@kbin.earth 1 points 1 month ago

Grapes are great!

[-] spittingimage@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

A toasted English muffin, with peanut butter. My usual breakfast.

[-] Corno@lemm.ee 1 points 1 month ago

6 large, free range boiled eggs!

Ottolenghis Fettuccine with Spiced Cherry Tomato Sauce using plant-based parmesan. One my favorites. Takes a while to cook but is very easy and tasty. And the sauce can be made in a large batch to be used over the week.

[-] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 1 points 1 month ago

A slice of cheese and leftover rice

[-] Pacattack57@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

3 tacos. 2 chorizo, and 1 adobada (marinated pork). Extremely delicious.

[-] random_character_a@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago
