Knife Party - Destroy Them With Lazers is an oldie but a goodie!
Oh boy I have to physically stop myself from posting half my library ._.
Some DNB if you like something fast
Rido, Counterstrike - Let It Roll
Mefjus & Emperor - Void main void
The Upbeats - Realm
Billain & Tasha Baxter - Breach
Or if you like slower, hard-hitting dubstep that'll spike your blood adrenaline:
Nitepunk - MTV
Elley Duhé - Immortal (Knoir remix)
Effin - Get It On
A lot more of this here
Or more colourful dubstep with euphoric melodies:
KERO - Operator
IMANU, The Caracal Project, Leotrix - Gaspin 4 Air
Au5 - Blossom
Haywyre - Insight
If you like something funkier...
Koan Sound - Meanwhile, In the Future
Skope - Get On Up
Dodge & Fuski - The Clap
Flavio - Wow
Rhodz - Night Landscape
For the heck of it, here's some eldritch beats to summon your favorite archdemons to:
Audeka - Primordial
Protostar - Scorpion Pit (Disprove remix)
Flukeluke - What Are You
Lastly, some unique stuff that's hard to categorize:
Kyra - Gunz
Pluvio - Significance Of None (Azuruk remix)
Ampzer - MC
Chee - Spit That
LoJ - Superhuman
You just sent my ADHD brain into the depths of my music library for 2 hrs. It's early morning and I have shit do do man, why would you do this to me? There are soo many I could list here, ranging from Dubstep to Drum and Bass, to Bass Music and Trap and almost every other kind of electronic music. Most Techno, especially Trance basically revolves around building up and dropping one big and epic drop.
Personal bias and nostalgia, but Rusko - Everyday (Netsky Remix) has to be one of the sickest bass drops of all time.
If we start listing Techno drops here, this thread would never end, so I'll refrain. Here's just one example: Space 92 & The Yellowheads - Planet X
The same is true for Wave music, but here's a taster: Deadcrow - GT1000
Disclosure, Eliza Doolittle - You & Me (Flume Remix) is a masterpiece in its own right. But this brass band live performance of the track restores my faith in humanity every time I listen to it.
Some honorable mentions in a similar vein:
Gonna have to go with My Chemical Brothers - Star Guitar for just the best bass drop in general. Like a whole new world. But it's not a headbanger or anything.
If you want a headbanger: Born Slippy by NUXX
There's also Livin' Loose by George Clanton with a legendary bass drop, but it's not very high energy, more like chilled out:
If you do want a bit more high energy:
If you want even more high energy and never heard of Sweet Trip, (or in general if you haven't heard of Sweet Trip), I highly recommend it.
It's one of those bands that you gotta listen to before you die because there's nothing quite like them out there, even if you don't end up liking them, the fact anyone makes music like this is pure enrichment of the human experience.
Also if you like that song above, check out this fan-made music video by rigging a facegen AI to react to the beat of the music
If you want something more normal:
I wait for u (by the telephone) - Figurine
If modern electronic/rap is also okay: check out this, it's basically death grips but less over the top experimental:
Not that I'm anywhere by Cities Aviv
And as an extra non-EDM "epic bass drop" (well more like drums kicking in), I can't help but mention this:
Talking Distance by Soundbeam Sound Machine
and
EDIT: sorry if that's too many! It was hard to narrow it down to so few of my all time favourites that fit the criteria or that I think OP will like!
Chemical Brothers - Under The Influence has always been my go-to system tester. The song itself is meh, but a good system will rattle your bones listening to it.
I was pretty confused for a moment reading this, thinking you were pumping music into your spinal cord or something then I realized it was speakers you're talking about haha
“The Chemical Brothers”
“Underworld - Born Slippy (Nuxx)”
Hahaha I always do this with chemical brothers because of "my chemical romance" which is a very different band, well spotted.
"On Her Majesty's Secret Service" by Propellerheads has an amazing bass drop in the middle of the song.
I'm also partial to "Empire Ants" by Gorillaz.
The Only Thing They Fear Is You from the Doom Eternal soundtrack.
Also in the vein of rock: Jesus Built My Hotrod (Redline/Whiteline version) - Ministry
1:30 in, hold onto your ass
If you haven’t heard this vocal cover, the lyrics AND the vocals go fucking hard
>:-D
Dance Yrself Clean by LCD Soundsystem
Slow build, but when it drops...ooooh baby
Oh man, I had that phase in my teenage years where I was absolutely obsessed with all that EDM music. My tastes are more varied now but I still enjoy those absolute headbangers.
- I.Y.F.F.E - Jurassic
- Lock N Bounce - Illusions
- Rameses B - Full Force
- xKore - Full Russian
- RIOT - Overkill
Monstercat Uncaged is still a great label to search through if you want more of this high energy stuff.
Terminal slam by squarepusher
The first thing to come to mind is "The Virus" by The Halluci Nation. I can't guarantee that I'm not misunderstanding the question or whether this will be to your liking, but yeah. It's got some heavy themes around Indigenous history and current issues, but shining through the whole song is a message of hope, pride and resilience, which only enhances the bass drop.
501 - Headrush
Purity Ring - Stardew
Flat Beat by Dr Oizo
The Vegas album by The Crystal Method
My only complaint with Flat Beat is that the song never goes anywhere. Just the same, flat, unchanging beat for an entire five minutes and 25 seconds. I suppose that's the point.
I don't disagree. There were better songs on the Analog Worms Attack album but that is the song I remember the name of having not heard it in a decade or more.
Got to say Kernkraft 400 - Zombie Nation. But, Faithless with Insomnia is also great!
Insomnia Faithless
SEE YOU DROP - Ray Volpe
TheFatRat - Xenogenesis
It’s not a bass drop in the strictest sense but FUCK dude “Stone” by Mammoth WVH has a sludgy fucking breakdown with some of the most epic dramatic pauses in all of music and I can’t get enough of it
Are subsonics the bass sounds that are so low that you can't hear it but can feel it if the space is small enough?
I used to listen to some electronica that would move my cars subwoofers like crazy but you couldn't hear an audible base.
Listen to some Lorn for some other examples. I appreciate music you can feel.
Bot of War, from the Astro Bot soundtrack. Let's just say the bass drop is memorable if you played the last 2 GOW games.
Major Lazer Bad Boys remix
Widor Toccata! I love it when the pedal comes back in, always makes me smile.
https://youtu.be/jtj300j129k/?t=3m19s
Sorry for the very different style
Bass Attack Bap by Georgia Anne Muldrow
Gravedigger (Eskimo Callboy Remix) by The Browning
Attac Attac Sticky Sticky
Electrodynamix
