If you're trying to calculate it, then it's quite difficult.

If you just want to use it in a computer program, most programming languages have it as a constant you can request. You get to pick whether you want single or double precision, but both are atomic (a single instruction) on modern computers.

I actually have forgotten and it's bothering me.

Australians aren't turning away from electric cars, they're turning away from Tesla.

The writer of the article doesn't seem to be aware that any other electric cars exist, and the whole article seems to be written on that assumption which makes many misleading statements.

Adequate for cargo flights, not happening any time soon for passenger flights. Aviation safety is very strict and slow to change.

I highly recommend Linux Mint (cinnamon) as an entry level Linux distro. It looks and feels similar to Windows, and it's based on Ubuntu, so it has a lot of support and compatibility.

Where is that wire going, and what is it for?

I'm honestly surprised it's set to fall. I thought we were still increasing fossil fuel use.

Not true. There is more than enough lithium in the world for every person to have an EV. This is not even accounting for new battery chemistries like sodium ion that don't use lithium.

I still want more public transport though. Trains are remarkably easy to electrify and don't need batteries.

Hydrogen is only 30% efficient compared to 90-95% for batteries. Most hydrogen is currently made from fossil fuels, and contains less energy than the fossil fuels used to make it.

The last 10% takes 90% of the effort.
