As a follow up, to get a third (and more) term would it be possible to run for vp and have a contract with someone who agrees to run for president then resign immediately after inauguration, or is there a law against that?

I made a mistake from remembering something I read a long time ago and corrected my comment accordingly. I also made it clear that I thought the sentence for the protesters was way too harsh, I just took issue at the words "peaceful protest" when people were injured as a fairly direct result of their actions.

I definitely support JSO over the oil companies and whoever they pay off in government, but I don't think claiming a protest is "peaceful" should be a "get out of jail free card". Call it a justified protest or whatever, but the vast majority of what protesters call "peaceful protest" is actually not peaceful at all, as the actual peaceful protesters aren't having to defend their agressive or unpeaceful actions.

You see humans everywhere you go

I don't know if it's that unless you live in Nigeria, India, SEA etc.

In high income countries, the cities have grown in population and there's fewer people in rural areas, so sure you're going to see people in cities in urban areas and in touristy rural areas during common vacation times, but that's been the case for ages and for the rest of the time there's still plenty of easily accessible places where you can get away from people.

There's also people capitalising on people wanting to be away from humans so they advertise "retreats" which are full of other humans, but just don't go there and camp in the middle of nowhere instead and there won't be humans for miles around

Same for May in UK and probably a fair few former territories, but I think some places get two days off (Spain?) which may be even better

edit: the UK actually should be yellow here, as there's no Labour Day at all, but there is a public holiday on the 1st Monday in May, whereas green means Labour Day exists but can't fall on 1st May

Console means a type of support in some contexts via Latin consolor "to alleviate, lighten" so I'd bet it comes from there as it probably originated as an armrest

Idk it depends, I got billed close to 1000€ by German healthcare after damaging a ligament despite me having a valid EHIC because "you're not a German resident so you have to pay", it took forever dealing with my own healthcare system who refunded me and I assume chased it up with your system, but still they're a bunch of scammers

And birds and dinos are crocs (unlike most other reptiles)

Sure taking gold out of a hole to put it in a different hole is a waste of resources but there's kind of a driving force towards that because if the currency is actually useful then people aren't going to use it as currency and if it's easy to produce they're going to counterfeit it

Same with cryptocurrencies, they're hard to produce and functionless, so a huge waste of resources, and frankly same with (high frequency) trading of stocks, as you don't own them when the dividends are paid yet you put huge resources into them because other people want them because of their inherent value

That's not an addiction then?

Moderation is literally the opposite of addiction so what you say is fine. What I'm talking about is drinking sweetened drinks with every meal and/or eating sweetened snacks inbetween every meal and/or having every meal be over sweet... Even eating dessert daily after your main meal of the day is fine as the biggest issue is eating sweetened food when you intend to eat after, so as snacks or during the main parts of the meal

I appreciate it's a big state but unless you're within a couple of miles from the coast in Northern California it is unreasonably hot for a significant portion of the year
