It depends on the country, but many are just time based. We moved by getting work and education visas and are renewing them until we can apply for residency, then citizenship. Luckily we've been planning this for over a decade and we had managed to save up and plan.. I've personally seen several people try to do the same and had to return to the US for financial reasons. It's heartbreaking.
I dunno, Thomas is still there, and I'm sure he wouldn't be with their iron clad ethics guidelines, right?
I mean they don't deny it. Here's some of their representatives' Christmas cards: https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/christmas-card-guns-lauren-boebert-thomas-massie-start-new-culture-ncna1285709
I'd settle for inventory sorting
No you indict a ham sandwich, you convict criminals.
You guys only got one isolated revolt last time, and remarkably anyone who had a gun illegally didn't fire it, and anyone who had them legally didn't fire until it was the last option. Hopefully it won't get out of hand if he loses again, and I feel a whole lot better that someone stable is in charge for the lead up to a potential transfer of power this time.
All that said, I don't have high hopes. Bo Burnham said it best: how is the best case scenario Joe Biden
I like his automotive channel as well
I didn't watch it, but my 11 and 12 year old watched it. Twice. My 11 year old doesn't watch things twice, but he thought it was that good. So knowing nothing about the movie, I think it's worth your kids' time.
Thanks for the details about the story, if they watch it again I may join them and discuss it after with them and see what they think about the commentary on systemic oppression and how it's dealt with.
Cool video. I hadn't thought of that, but of course it makes sense!
Unrelated question for anyone out there: I'm using the Liftoff app, and this link only opens in the Liftoff app.. Is there a way to easily get it to open in the YouTube app instead? Making the video full screen doesn't quite work as it is.
If it's anything like Boost for Reddit was, it's unnoticeable. Every 20 or so posts you'll see an ad and just scroll past, no animations or sound. I think I recall seeing a bottom banner? Any other Boost users confirm? I really just ignored it so I can't recall.
My point is, ads were non-obstructive
Also depends on what's happening. I used to live in the US in Texas and when the power went out at all we would need to boil for a while. A lot depends on the local government and utilities in the US, every state and county seems to do stuff in a slightly different way.
I'm happy to report that voting from overseas is remarkably easy if you're registered in Alabama. A friend of mine had the easiest time. Meanwhile, I am jumping through hoops for Texas to let me vote.
A reminder to please vote.
