even if it was genuine ignorance, that still would not answer why the demon kid had to be killed rather than merely driven out.

A creature who murders entire families because it doesn't understand human society is still dangerous even if driven out. Letting it go live in the woods to hunt humans isn't the solution you think it is. If a bear was known to seek out and hunt humans, it should be put down.

Remember that the demons themselves say that they only learned to speak in order to lie,

You take what they say at face value when it benefits your point but when it comes to the child explaining their reasoning you dismiss it. You're cherry picking here.

Humans and demons very obviously can understand each other because demons are excellent at manipulating humans!

There is literally an entire arc that revolves around demons and humans not being able to understand each other. The anime hasn't reached it yet but the entire impetus is a demon not understanding human emotions and trying to do so. Their understanding of human behavior is "If I claim to have a son who I love, they are more likely to spare me." It is a cold-calculated decision, they do not understand why humans are this way. You are objectively wrong on this.

I do not recommend citing HP Lovecraft for "obviously unproblematic" counterexamples,

Ah shit I forgot that since Lovecraft influenced cosmic horror I'm not allowed to use any example from Cosmic horror to prove a point. If Cthulhu is problematic because Lovecraft was, then the Sousou No Frieren is not problematic because the author hasn't been. But using the author as the only metric for determining a media's message is reductive to high hell.

Unironically the cowboys are fucking over. I know this is par for the course but that was the shittiest performance I think I've ever seen EVER.

I have never been more jokerfied in my life than when it was 28-0 in the second quarter and Dak was throwing interceptions like they were candy in a parade. CeeDee was dropping shit but I'll cut him a bit of slack. Defense sucked absolute shit.

The only good news is that my Facebook marketplace had cowboy jersey's for 1/10 of their retail price because people started selling them after the game.

I think there will be a gap between Warren and AOC to be fair. But there probably won't be a "successor" to the Bernie mantle between them. Unless some firebrand comes out of left field I think most radlibs will just do lesser evilism with a normal Democrat.

There will certainly be progressives but none that become the progressive. AOC could be replaced by most members of the The Squad but I think she's shown she's willing to play the game.

I've built a smallish community of fellow comp sci majors in my college town but it still kinda sucks. They're all great people but not the kind to go to parties which severely limits what I can do with them. The problem is that I don't feel comfortable cold approaching people. I can get them to go bowling or drinking which is fun but I kinda also want to meet other people outside my major. I can be a social butterfly if I have someone to back me up, but I suck dick on my own.

The town is kinda dead on its own with most of the events being for middle aged couples. The university is a place to meet young people but they're either busy as hell or not socially available.

We need a shitposting comm though. It's either I post my cumtown bits in the megathread or on badjokes. You can block the comm but you'd be missing a lot not looking at the megathread.

Nah it's a bit. No one actually unironically identifies as anti-intellectual.

I'm kinda of a Diogenes figure. Sometimes you get "behold a man" and sometimes you get a homeless man yelling at passerbys.

Love that movie, Baraka is also a good choice.

The word 'social' is referring to 'socialism' and so is the relation between 'democracy' and 'democratic'.

I guess social security = socialism security in your world? Social welfare programs are not socialism and if your political education included anything beyond Elizabeth Warren's policy page you'd know that.

Tell me if you figure it out. I want a hexbear account for the memes but I don't actually want to deal with them.
