Honesty I'm shocked nobody has mentioned Tales of Maj'Eyal or ToME for short. Extremely deep roguelike with story and it is getting expansions ans updates all the time.

Also it is open-source, so can be downloaded for free, but I would recommend you also buy it in steam for instance to support it.

Tasker task that puts sound on when receiving a txt with some string of words. Should work.

The report is interesting but also a bit misleading. It includes all emissions from a product as being from the company that made it. So you buy a car and drive it around for 100 000km and the pollution from that driving is attributed to the company.

Wait why not? Or do you mean that the terminology is off or? And how is it get out of jail free card? If the label is there then it has been made in a factory where the manufacturer cannot guarantee cross-contamination free product. Seems perfectly fine to me, most people have no issue with that. If you are very allergic to dairy for instance then obviously you should not use these products. Same as with tons of allergies.

Yes I wonder why

Would you look at that, nice.

If you weren't going to buy it, why would you pirate it? That's the thing, if you're interested enough in a product to want it then you taking it for free is a cost to the producer.

I don't agree with this at all. There are tons of things someone might want to use or have but not enough that they'd be willing to pay for it. Or over a certain amount of money.

My fiancee has mental issues and using logic will get you nowhere. It is fine to say it and remind them of it but not start arguing or anything. It is not like they have much of a choice, or they do but it is fucking difficult.

The materials that do the absorption are not effective across the entire wavelength spectrum of the sun. They can only absorb at a certain wavelength range, but the spectrum range of the sun is very wide.

Edit. Also other reasons, like recombination rate where the photon hitting the panel generates an electron-hole pair which is then collected and used for evegy, but electrons and holes tend to want to recombine, after which we cannot use them for evergy. We want this rate to be zero, but it never is, it is a probabilistic process. So even if you can absorb everything, you can't utilise everything you absorb.

Nah its not a Faraday cage really. Ever wonder why they always have the same weird thick boi door? Its because when you close it, the door acts as a quarter-wave choke for the 2.45Ghz microwave signal (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waveguide_flange#Choke_connection). But this only works for that very specific frequency.

Yup got the same thing. Annoying as hell. The loading bar always goes to like quarter of the way and stays there for a couple of seconds and the continues. After that it's fine, but it is always the first page you load after closing Firefox.

I mean, it is not that hard of a thought process? Considering how many left reddit but have been complaining about it for years. As far as they were considering (including me), there was no better alternative. Your friend probably thinks the same. If the people he follows would go to Mastodon, they would follow. But as long as this people don't, then there isn't enough content there to be a viable alternative for them.
