Proof she’s a woman, I guess. :p

On iOS the health app does this, plus it stores your med list in your emergency info (if you allow it, which I do due to blood pressure meds) in case of accidents.

Heck yeah, that’s one I haven’t seen around here (which is sad because my area used to be big for hemp production!)

I hope it’s amazing!

As someone with inherited heart problems who has been on anti-hypertensive medications since teen years, I’m stoked for this even if it takes a while to get there.

I’ve spent my entire life assuming my bad genes (I got the worst from both sides of my family, yay!) would spell an early death (many in my family including my mother died before age 60). I’m not sure how I feel finding out that may not be the case for myself, but I’m stoked it might be an option all the same.

I had to get a lot of dental work done one year, and I was just like “hey, I’m gunna listen to this book while you do this, if that’s ok. If you need me to pause just like tap my forehead or something”. If it was today I’d probably watch videos or something but this was like 10 years ago.

He was thrilled, said it’s kinda awkward sometimes to have a one-sided conversation, especially when the work takes a while. Dental work isn’t really something they need to talk to you about while doing it.

Maybe give that a try if you need future work done. :)

Really? None of that looks at all familiar (other than the quality).

Wild. Thanks for replying :)

You must have missed the part that says I’m not really serious.

I’ve lived a few places that had them, I think it’s pretty common if you live near Amish communities

I really like that he basically ended up with tight knicker pants, since I assume the bit under the knee is supposed to be legs.

Very renaissance. Or pirate. This whole picture is in a weird way.

I’m already self hosting a media server and have been for 10+ years. have a vpn and all, but it is also accessible outside of my network (usually).

However it’s a very basic setup that I intend to redo to make it substantially more robust and somewhat automated, and I need to learn a ton of stuff to do so which will scaffold for this stuff. I keep hearing the same words, so at least I know what to look into :)

I have a decent list of self hosting software to look into for various things, I just haven’t had time to pursue it, but I’m about to have plenty of time :)

Thank you for the detailed reply, and that’s actually something I hadn’t really considered. I know I baby the fuck out of my phone, so I’d probably be one of those people 😁 but also phones themselves have gotten a lot more durable and harder to break.

And that’s a good point that in other countries, unlocked gsm phones are just the norm even with regular upgrade plans, where here (Midwest us) it’s kinda hard to find because a lot of the larger carriers are CDMA, so my standard experience is just different. I haven’t really looked too much other than refurbished, and those aren’t cheap-er enough to be worth it, but I’ll take a look.
