Fuck the US Government, everyone in it, and every citizen living under it.

Every single person in the US is either in full support of this nonsense, pretending like a petition or election is going to stop a "Fascist regime" from taking over, don't care as long as it isn't them, (edit) or chronically online ignoramus' who believe violence is the only solution because being a lazy cunt hasn't worked yet. Like always, we have to deal with their shit when it hits the fan because of proximity and I am sick of it.

It doesn't matter who is in power down there, Canadians always get fucked over by the US Government.

We need to completely disconnect from that country and close our borders to them. No more US Companies in our borders, no more trade, no more tourism, no more intelligence cooperation or military support, just a complete disconnect. Not until Trump is out, or the Democrats regain a little power, but indefinitely until the point when our ideologies actually align and the US can demonstrate they aren't a terrorist state masquerading as "Leader of the free world".

“We should stop making excuses,” Smith said. “Stop saying, ‘Yeah, but we’re not as bad as the other guys.’ We should just say, ‘Yes, we agree, and we’re going to take care of our part of the issue, so you don’t have to worry about us anymore.’”

The amount of fentanyl seized going into the states from Canada makes up 0.2% of the total amount seized, while Mexico accounted for 96.6%. The raw data is: 21,889 pounds seized at the border, Canada contributed 43 pounds, while Mexico contributed 21,148 pounds. (2024)

Those numbers also remained stable going into 2025.

https://www.cnn.com/2025/02/03/politics/us-canada-trade-fentanyl-fact-check/index.html

We aren't comparing fractions here, and it is clear as fucking day that Canada is not the issue when it comes to fentanyl. It is not that "we aren't as bad as the other guys", it is that we aren't doing bad at all. We are in no way shape or form anything like "the other guys".

We can improve our border security to stop what is entering Canada, and really need to, but saying we need to do it because of drugs crossing into the US demonstrates complete ignorance on the issue. Complete ignorance is of course Marlaina Smith's bread and butter so we shouldn't be shocked, but we need to keep pushing the real data out on this one to prevent anyone following this ignoramus to their doom and taking everyone else with them.

When did Marlaina Smith become "everyone"?

The Conservatives are really stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Do they stop holding up the House of Commons to ensure nothing can get done before the election to maintain their talking points or do they "take down the corrupt Liberal Government at the first opportunity" like was promised ad nauseam for the sake of all Canadians?

Kind of funny how the Conservatives are now "propping up" the "corrupted Trudeau Government" with their actions.

Will this Conservative-Liberal Coalition ever end?

The better question is:

Can Pierre Poilievre stop shooting himself in the foot long enough to not become the next O'Toole or Sheer?

I cannot wait to see what caliber he uses next, and how much of the foot goes with it.

You can no longer care for yourself.

Do you agree that because you can no longer care for yourself that it is okay for you to be shipped off to wherever the Government chooses and strip your of your rights?

I enjoy this narrative of "being forced" to go against ones own morals and principals by big bad companies because one just absolutely has to have a product for as cheap as possible.

You went to two stores and then straight to Amazon. That doesn't mean they have a monopoly, that means you really didn't try that hard to find an alternative.

If you think you have no other choice you are right because you stopped looking for one.

Nothing like pay walled content to get one riled up over a nothing headline.

Maybe "some liberal MP's" should come out and say it with their names attached. Maybe they did, but again, pay wall.

Legalize, regulate, tax.

Spend the extra money on actual solutions like free rehab beds available the second someone is ready for it, and a massive safety net for every person who makes it through that hell.

Everything else is political nonsense.

Here is his lifetime voting record without my bias or anything else involved. Just facts.

Everyone is free to interpret it as they wish.

Now now now, let's not get crazy and expect a reasonable idea to be the right one.

Obviously the only way forward is privatized healthcare, and maximized profits, until the lower class revolts and we do it all over again.

Everyone who gets it needs to start explaining to everyone who doesn't why public services should never be expected to make profit, should be expected and accepted that public services generally operate at a loss, and that none of that is a bad thing. Canada is in desperate need of a narrative change and a legislative overhaul if we are going to survive what is coming as a intact country.

System failure is a fun thing. We need to trim the bloat to try and avoid it.
