Okay, so in the background is a Consolidated P2Y seaplane. Those were retired and withdrawn from service in 1941 and sent back to Naval Air Station Pensacola. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consolidated_P2Y

So if it's 1942, then it has to be in Florida at least.

But how do we know if it's 1942?? 😨

The War in Iraq lasted 8 years and cost over 1 trillion dollars.

So aside from the immense risk of starting a war with a nation right next door to you, ...aside from the fact that there would be no clear strategic objectives, it would also cost a fortune.

If the US wass really serious about supporting the Mexican government against the cartels, then they would start with increasing financial aid to said government. But these very same people would probably be against that idea.

I think it bears pointing out that both the UK and France have their own nuclear weapons and are ultimately not beholden to the US.

So encouraging Russian aggression with the implicit notion that the US wouldn't do anything in response to an attack actually makes nuclear war more likely because even if we didn't respond... they would still feel compelled to.

You might think that too if you had retractable razors on your hands.

Who gives a shit if 1 in 4 high schools identifies as something other than straight?

How about focus on the actual commandments Jesus taught, which by the way, were: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind" and "Love your neighbor as yourself". FFS.

Yea some of these are pretty cherry picked.

I mean "the Roman Empire" in the loosest term, from the beginning of Rome's expansion out of Italy, to the fall of Constantinople in the east, was over 1700 years.

And the Ottoman Empire was still very much alive and threatening Europe into the 18th century before they began their terminal decline.

Ohio voter here. The job is not done. The next step is to vote these pricks out of office. And that means funding their opponents when the time comes for them to run for reelection.

Glazed over eyes, thinning hairline; Mr. Pringle remembered back to when he first started as mascot all those years ago - life seemed so full of promise. Now he found himself stuck in middle age - his wife doesn't listen to him anymore, he's begun dying his graying mustache black. As he stared blankly out from the container, he wondered - can one ever really regain that which has been lost? Mr. Pringle had the experience - he just wished he had the answers...

It's Balance of Power, which came out in 1985. It was a geopolitical simulator where you either play as the USA or the USSR. The goal is to gain influence across the world by sending economic and military aid, fighting proxy wars, stuff like that. There was also a newer version that came out in I think 1990 which introduced some newer features and slightly better graphics.

Read the indictment. It says he specifically went behind his own lawyers' backs to remove the classified documents from where they were stored and moved them to his personal residence after they had already been subpoenaed. ...and then basically lied to his own lawyers. The prosecution is going to make the case that this was obstruction of justice.
