A lot of lemmy instances have been defederating from lemmy.world due to it's lackadaisical signup requirements (i.e. taking everyone who wanted a less corporate reddit without question) among other concerns. However lemmynsfw.com doesn't seem to be one of those, but I could be wrong. all I know is I had to change instances cause several communities I subscribed to were becoming inaccessible to me for that reason
