Isn't this close to what maoists are talking about when they mention New Democracy in the global south?

As in, much of the national ruling class in the south are basically just middlemen for western capital, so even though they benefit greatly from that arrangement, the southern elite don't have any independence to act in their own interests to the extent their western can.

So, they ally with the leftist from a nationalist and liberatory perspective, which can easily overlap with the working class and peasants.

In the west, such a class collaboration would just become fascism or coopted by the ruling class, but since the southern elite can't act in their elite class interests, they find themselves closer aligned with the workers.

Or am I completely wrong? I think ive read this in Eruptions And Continuity or whatever that book was called many years ago.

Protip: ALWAYS LIE ON YOUR CV

You studied history? No you didn't. Just say you have a PhD in some hyper-niche STEM field. You generally don't get background checked for most normal jobs, unless your workplace is in a place that requires extra security, like airports, health sector or finance.

And even if you get the job and they discover you faked your CV and they decide to call the police, the cops usually don't want to waste time and manpower on such worthless cases and will throw it out immediately.

Lying is cool and based

Man, I'm considering unsubscribing from Trashfuture. They've really lost their magic lately.

The Boney Island series really cemented just how awful they've become. Literally half of the first episode is just the hosts casually talking about what they had for breakfast. I thought it was a bit, but no, they really thought wasting most of the episode by being completely off topic and not even trying to entertain was a good idea. The rest is just as unlistenable and boring. Who even remembers the old-ass tv show Bones? It had zero cultural impact and no one i know has ever even heard of it.

The main show has also lost its magic. Why are they so obsessed with former new York mayor Eric Adams? He's not even relevant anymore. It's also hard to even care about some yank politician from a different continent.

Maybe I'll try subbing to scroungers instead. TF has lost their touch.
