That's honestly so adorable.

I know how dangerous bears can be but it's hard not to look at that photo and not be in awe at how cute they look all hanging out on the tree together. Just hope their presence in the area didn't cause any major safety issues for too long.

Ah, my bad, misunderstood Matrix as being part of the fediverse due to the decentralized nature of it and because I saw a cross-post regarding Matrix made to this community.

I'll delete the post here and keep the original one up.

Look dude, Imma be blunt, but this take has got to be one of the dumbest takes I think I've ever seen regarding politics.

You really think there wouldn't be any consequences at all for just culling 100 million people off the face of the Earth? That's more than every single death in World War II.

Russia and the world is lucky to not have you as the leader of China because frankly your username matches the quality of the take.

Hey all,

While I'm aware that most issues regarding reducing greenhouse gasses land more on companies and governments than they do on individual responsibility, I still want to work on forming my diet to overall be more climate-friendly.

I'm curious if there's a website that compares the carbon footprint of certain foods. Since I'm currently modifying my diet to be more healthy and nutritious, I was also thinking about maybe making some changes where possible that are more friendly to the environment.

What brought up this thought is that I'm currently making sweetened drinks at home using zero-calorie sweeteners, and with the options I have available and how little they differ from one another in my eyes, I was curious which option between Stevia and Sucralose was more environmentally friendly, and then it became a more general question as to where I can compare these things.

Thanks in advance!

In a really weird way this might actually be helpful to the campaign. When RFK dropped out of the race, both Kamala and Trump saw a boost in the polls, meaning there are people that supported RFK that were more Democratic leaning than Republican leaning, though it should be noted Trump went up only a few points more than Kamala did.

JD Vance has been the most unpopular VP pick in modern American history. While RFK is of course weird, I personally wouldn't be surprised if he's seen in a more favourable light than Vance is. The swap could potentially win some of RFK's supporters who moved their support to Kamala over to Trump and the Republicans, and could give the opportunity for "unity" messaging considering Trump would be bringing in a former opponent as well as the Democratic association with the Kennedy name.

Will say though, not sure how effective this would be compared to the Trump campaign simply swapping Vance with someone else that was on the original running for VP pick. Still shocked knowing that Burgum was going to be picked before Trump was swayed to choose Vance, and that Tim Scott wasn't his go-to considering Scott's potential for Republicans playing identity politics and his talent in campaign fundraising.

Honestly fantastic choice. The more he talks over people and interrupts, the more unhinged and insensible he appears to the average voter. Political commentator I watch regularly has been saying this for months to leave his mic on at the debate rather than mute him.

Funny seeing this around now.

Was looking into trying to find an AI to make stories from images, since I have to deal with the unfortunate reality that for a fandom I like, just about all the fanfic is unbelievably badly written to the point that an AI does a better job making interesting stories. I know they exist, just a question of where the ones that work are.

Simple ask you'd think wanting to find shit that generates stories from images. Search engines hardly helped, so it was like, fine, I'll ask an AI about AI. Surely it'll help me find the tool I need, right?

Somehow the results it gave me were worse than the search engine itself.

I haven't had fried chicken in a while now mind you, but both when I was a kid and my family would have leftover KFC, and as an adult in the rare occasion I do get fried chicken, I have always loved it more after it's been sitting overnight in the fridge.

Won't heat that shit in the microwave or nuthin, just eat it straight cold and love it like that.

Gotta say, as someone who identifies as a progressive, she's really been beating my expectations compared to what she was saying and doing back in the 2020 primaries.

Honestly fantastic. Hate being "that guy", but if a profit is at the end of the agenda, you can never really be sure if what a service provider promises is going to be there for good, or if they're already doing things behind your back for the profit motive.

Tuta is fine as an email provider, don't get me wrong, but I just recently swapped from them to Disroot considering I like the latter's non-profit nature. Just a matter of me becoming able to spare the funds every now and again to donate.

Don't know what it is, but I much prefer the Crazy Frog remix, and have always enjoyed it.

Just in general, while Queen is still good, I think they're overrated whereas I also think Crazy Frog gets too much flak.

Hey all,

Currently want to experiment using Keyoxide since I came across it while browsing the Codeberg repos. Was curious about whether or not there's any Keyoxide instances outside of the flagship one, since I really enjoy the decentralized nature of it and would love to support the ecosystem by utilizing other providers where possible.

Thanks in advance.

Don't forget to delete your Twitter account folks. Nothing of value there that you can't get elsewhere.

Who could have ever seen this coming?

Okay but seriously, it's not like the IDF hasn't been dehumanizing Palestinian lives for as long as we can remember. They were literally purposely shooting the legs of peaceful protestors during The Great March of Return in 2018 let alone the shit that's happened since October 7th.

Not denying this, but can I see a source for that? This is the first time I've heard of this as someone in Canada and would like to learn more, though can't say this surprises me unfortunately.

(don't mind the young account age, I just swapped instances)
