Ugh, just take all that money you would have spent on the ridiculous driveways, extra lengths of road, utilities, and lawn care and put it into higher quality building materials for the apartments/townhouses.
We build crap quality places in the US and all I hear from my fellow countrymen is "we can't (or don't want to) do it any other way".

But later, if it comes out after she's dead, that she was secretly harvesting puppy blood in her basement or abusing handicapped kids for decades or some other crazy awful thing, I'll have to re-evaluate. This makes me a bit excited to see a court rule that a sitting president is immune. If that happens (it won't), I would expect Biden to immediately take full advantage of his newfound powers and publicly announce a dead or alive bounty for a whole slew of right-wing fascists currently holding or running for public office. That particular ruling could really solve this little Nazi problem that's been developing here in the US.

I once worked at a police department (wasn't a cop) in a very rural area. The officers regularly responded to calls to put down stray dogs who were injured or sick.
But yeah also for fun when raiding the wrong house.
Smart frugal people. Lots of others will just factor it into the cost of a vacation and be okay with it - accepting the fact that it's overpriced and mediocre quality. It's just a matter of convenience and how much people are willing to shell out for it.
