Did that have any effect on your game? Minor UI issues are pretty common in plenty of games, I personally can't see that as much of an issue. Certainly not the game-breaking bugs of launch Oblivion and Skyrim

Did you even play it, or are you just jumping on the hate bandwagon? It's hardly perfect, but I literally didn't find any significant bugs in over 20 hours of playtime. The game has plenty of fundamental issues certainly, but the bugs are more of a meme than anything.

Admittedly haven't played it yet, but BOTW was absolutely a masterpiece.

That said, the NPC scripting and interactions are way simpler than Bethesda games, and there's very little in terms of even marginally open ended quests. It's a great open world, but it's pretty on rails story wise outside the order in which you tackled areas.

Yeah, I'm hoping they finally figure out the tutorial balance in Wilds. Earlier games had next to nothing for tutorials, and you pretty much had to look outside the game to even understand the basic movesets of the weapons, much less how things like skills work. I think they overcorrected with the recent ones though, it'd be nice if they could get a little better about introducing information in the world instead of constantly stopping the action to make sure the player sees it.

But yeah, absolutely do not use the OP armor, you'll only ruin your fun and then have a really hard time once you get to the real fights. The main reason to use it would be to power through low rank if you've done it on another platform or something.

That makes sense, but isn't it assuming they're processing data on the device? I would expect them to send raw audio back to be processed by Google ad services. Obviously it wouldn't work without signal either, but that's hardly a limitation.

As someone else pointed out, how does the google song recognition work? That's active without triggering the light indicating audio recording, and is at least processing enough audio data to identify songs.

Just a heads up, catbox.moe is starting to get blocked by some major ISPs. Verizon is one I've run into, catbox links won't load if I'm using the mobile network.

If there's a decent dribble there I'll grab a paper towel or napkin and clean it off first, but I usually don't worry about it. Wiping it off with a finger is disgusting though IMO. Her finger has about a thousand times more nasty stuff than anything in the sauce bottle, that's a great way to contaminate an entire container.

I mean, I know Google has been shitty lately, but Wikipedia isn't hard to find: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deterrence_(penology)

I'd wager Nintendo has put some fear into a few folks considering developing emulators, but that's the only comparison to be made here. The lack of any real consequences for individuals downloading roms is why so many are happy to publicly proclaim their piracy.

Now, I bet if megaupload added an AI that checked users uploads for copyrighted titles and gave everyone trying to upload them a warning about possible jail time, we'd see a hell of a lot less roms and movies on mega.

Sorry, but this is absolutely a victory for democracy and what little structure our government still has. If the states were to be allowed to remove candidates from the ballot, you could kiss any chance of Democrat candidates showing up on red state ballots goodbye.

If everywhere you go smells like shit...

I get where you're coming from, and it would be great if it was at all possible to reliably identify internet sarcasm, but at this point the waters are so muddy it's impossible to tell. I have absolutely no faith in anyone online at this point, and most of us are here in the Fediverse specifically because we're so sick of the crazies all over other social media. I can easily believe there are people that would share exactly what you typed above and mean it.

Frankly, sarcasm is already the laziest, most braindead form of humor anyway. If you can't even be bothered to at least make it clear you're joking, it's really a 'you' problem if you get misunderstood.

What would the point of a private Monster Hunter server even be?

My experience has been the opposite. The boomers think it's gonna do everything for them, and the young people I know think it's gonna destroy the world.
