10 was bad. 11 is... awful.

I'm running it on my daily driver / gaming rig to learn its flaws and how to work around them, because work may be moving that direction. My hardware, my license, not like they can stop me.

I've never had more problems with any OS than 11 on day to day stability issues. Vista? At least it had direct X 10. 8? Yeah, a total design fuck up, but even supporting it professionally I never had this many problems.

As an American, fuck yes, absolutely, 100%.

As a Texan, fuck yes, absolutely, 1000%.

The wife and I are already considering leaving the state. Prices for everything are rising to ridiculous levels.

An apartment I could have afforded on my own a decade ago would require three incomes, and the neighborhoods are no less violent and crime ridden. Food deserts, lack of health care options, lack of gainful employment in that geographic area, all deterrents to paying more than I do now for a mortgage.

If I thought I had the skills and wherewithal to strike out and homestead I would. Alas, I do not.

I long to leave "the grid," but require medication to function as a normal human being. As such, I am beholden to the system. I must cooperate against my better interest to attain medication to live. I am, for lack of a better term, a slave to it.

Before anyone comes in calling a race card play, or any other shit, I am a cis het white male. In theory, I am the problem, and yet I suffer the same.

I decided at the age of seven that life, as we know it, was not worth living. 30 some odd years later, that has not changed.

This, I think, is one of the largest changes Trump instilled in his followers.

They aren't scared of being outed as a racist because the former cheeto in chief was always saying the quiet part out loud. Then his supporter politicians. Then his base.

I'm balding, horribly, and as such shave my head. Otherwise I wind up looking like I spent a vacation in Chernobyl.

The amount of people who are openly racist around me has quadrupled since 2016, easily.

Makes me wanna see if there are any SHARP groups around locally.

The language also includes "any office."

Pretty inclusive if you ask me.

To be fair, Tesla is owned by a South African who immigrated to Canada, then the US - and had apartheid slaves do the hard part of precious stone mining.

Much like the former cheetoh in chief, completely removed from the realities others face, and never had to deal with consequences.

It isn't a solely American thing, though we may be the world champs at it.

From an American point of view, HIV treatment would absolutely ruin my life, both from the obvious health perspective, but financially.

Bankrupt, homeless, sick as a dog... I could easily see someone taking their own life in that scenario.

Is the medicine there? Sure. If you're rich.

Hell, South Park did an episode that made the cure for HIV just be money, because that is certainly a requirement, at least here.

Also how that spits in the face of theatrical performances dating at least back to Shakespeare's time, if not further.

I never studied that stuff, but I did date a drama major back in the day.

I grew up trick or treating in Texas. Never once did I get Fererro Rocher shit in my pillow sack.

I did get home made beef jerky on occasion. Spicy was always a disappointment, because my stomach can't handle much capsacin. I don't mean I don't like spicy stuff, I mean too much capsacin leads to ulceration and vomiting blood.

Why invest in tech when there are so many red shirts around?

While I don't normally condone death as a form of punishment, we have precedent with the Rosenberg's.

Executed as traitors, and if memory serves, for less flagrant violations. The fact that the orange stain continues to get away with all this shit astounds me.

Being an absolute traitor to your country while being the president... I'm sorry, but execution may be the only suitable solution, especially considering how many lives trump has had a direct hand in ending. Whether that be covid, compromised information to foreign powers (allegedly) that we have a history of NOT being friendly with, or just improper storage (including using it as some form of clout), or just general ineptitude.

If the US was a TV show, we jumped the shark when that fucker was forced in against the popular vote by the electoral college.

Then again, if memory serves, most GOP presidents in recent history have been forced through by the electoral college, as opposed to the will of the people.

I was more thinking it's to test the waters.

A buck is affordable to most everyone who has the means to access Twitter.

Of course next year it'll be Twitter++ subscriptions for 20 bucks a month, as they phase out the 1 dollar tier.

I never cared for Twitter, and watching Musk's spin on it has been hilarious as someone with a long history in corporate IT.

Pre-edit: At the moment I'm refusing to refer to it by a ~~tween edgelords name~~~ Musk's name for it.

Seems like the simplest method for dealing with traitors goes back to a long drop and a short rope.

If done right it can be relatively quick and painless. I have never felt the need to learnt to tie a noose, but I'll give it a shot for that piece of filth.
