Understandable. The US/Mexico border is massive and ports of entry aren't every 5 miles or so. These are by and large exploited and vulnerable people and won't see this as a deterrent. A sizeable portion of these migrants aren't running TO America. They're running FROM being conscripted into a gang or something similar
