If I buy one song from one artist off bandcamp the artist earns about $1 from me, which I can then listen to thousands of times without them seeing another cent.

I find myself saying this one a lot. When I feel like I'm putting in effort and the other person won't meet me in the middle something like this always seems to slip out, but I hate how passive aggressive it is.

Reframing it so 'the problem' is the problem rather than the person is a good idea. Helps with communication, and if it can be internalized, it seems like a better way to think about the conflict too.

I was referring to the unnecessary header text on the sidebar, squeezing everything else up there. I am aware there are different display modes lol

Huh, same here! I have it on GBA and have been periodically playing it since I was a kid, but I've never actually been more than 2/3 or so in. I was never able to put my finger on why - it seems like an amazing game with its charming aesthetic, good controls, it does a lot of things well - but now that you say it I think you're right, the level design and emphasis on checking every nook and cranny really does make it kind of a slog. I just booted up my last save and played a bit of the next level, and the amount of backtracking, secret side areas, and mini puzzles is kinda overwhelming.

This looks really interesting. I like the idea of a stripped-back ActivityPub server and I dig the honks. Anyone know how well it works with other ActivityPub implementations, like Lemmy/Mastodon/Kbin/etc? I would think its simplicity would work in its favor in that respect.

Lol I feel your pain, grime is the worst. I really (really) like the look of white handhelds - some pick up dirt more than others but it shows so much on them. Feels like I'm scrubbing with a toothbrush every time I use one. I end up using my non-white handhelds more so I can be a little more lax about cleaning, which feels like a shame.

Thanks for the list! The only one of those I've played is RE, I'll be sure to give the others a shot. I actually really like aiming with a stylus, plus it's always neat seeing how developers approach the limited buttons and technical capabilities of the DS for more AAA-adjacent games. I'll keep an eye out for your reviews.

Thank you for the explanation! That's wild, I've certainly visited SPA sites but I've never given much thought to what must be happening under the hood there. I guess it has its use cases but from a user's pov the quirks can be kinda annoying. Case in point, I see why load wouldn't do the trick - hope you can find why popstate wouldn't either (and thanks again)!

I had something similar with my 2ds LL a while back, with it never appearing to charge, though I'm pretty sure I had to open it up and disconnect/reconnect the battery to get it functioning normally again in my case. If yours is working now there's no need to do that, but either way it might be helpful to recalibrate the battery by discharging it until it's completely dead then charging it back up to full.

True, though for a four day trip, as long as you get it at the right ripeness I don't think any fruit would go bad in that time.

But yeah apples are a great choice, like you said they're good basically forever but also pretty easy to pack - not as easy to bruise as other fruits. Oranges also come to mind as a good travelling fruit.

wow, ask and I shall receive! thanks!

The only one I know of is https://mlmym.org/, which is a clone of old reddit
