I can't say I've ever thought about it one way or another, but I don't really feel physically exhausted or sore after housework, so I guess I wouldn't consider it exercise? For me at least, I don't mean to say anyone is wrong for thinking otherwise.

I dunno, I sweep, mop, clean the bathroom, do the dishes, all the normal housework stuff - it's definitely more strenuous than not doing anything, but in my mind there's a place between sitting and exercise which is where housework kinda falls. Though the linked article also includes some yardwork like raking, weeding and mowing the lawn, which definitely feel more like exercise to me.

There are three times I'll use a finger:

  • I only need to tap one or two things, too lazy to get out the stylus
  • The stylus is lost and I can't find a suitable stand-in nearby
  • I'm playing MH on an old 3DS and have to use the touchscreen for camera control

Other than that it's always stylus for me. No screen grime, more precise, easier to hold, covers up the screen less... I have no inclination to use fingers other than for convenience. Playing a shooter with thumb on touchscreen sounds horrifying to me lmao, though I'm curious enough to try it.

What FPS games have you been playing? I haven't tried any besides Metroid. The only other first person game I've played on DS is Fighting Fantasy but that's more melee and RPG focused.

Finding vocabulary at all can be a challenge in and of itself. If I get too lost for words I sometimes can't find any - it's not that I don't know how things work, I don't know how to say it.

Respect to them for trying something new, can't blame them for it not working out. Though from the article it doesn't sound like they had any major issue with mastodon or its administration itself - their primary issue was the legal risks, which really should have been considered before launching. It seems disingenuous to use a headline like that when the main problem wasn't the running of the site, but a fear of legal repurcussions that could have been easily seen before making the site. That's my two cents anyway.

It is sad how regulation of social media seems to affect smaller sites more than the big ones. Legal liability looks very different to a company with flocks of lawyers than someone hosting a small server at home.

I rode Haunted Mansion recently and really enjoyed it, it had lots of elements that seem like they'd work well in film - shame it was kinda wasted. I wouldn't mind a kids movie or an adult movie but that no-man's-land between them can be painful. I might give it a shot just out of curiosity when it comes to d+, thanks for giving your thoughts.

If you're implying that the belief that companies should be held accountable for their actions and that communication platforms should be democratized is mutually exclusive from not villainizing people for wanting to communicate with their loved ones, I strongly disagree.

I'm not making excuses for the companies. I'm making excuses for the people at their mercy, who are just trying to survive with the hand they were dealt. People can't be blamed for following the path of least resistance; the blame lies squarely with the path and those who made it, and fighting the people on that path who would gladly follow another is counterproductive.

Oh hey, I just watched Paper Moon the other day! What a fun movie.

That sounds like a great position. Don't suppose you're in florida haha

The recipe I used ended up being terrible haha, so I kinda started winging it halfway through. The later batches turned out better after some adjustments but I'd still like a better starting recipe, so if you find a good one please let me know!

I had to solder something on mine, though I don't think that's true of all chromebooks; depends on the model.

I think I'll give Curious Village a shot. Thanks! I've been interested in the series but never played any.
