Once doctor rules out kidney, cancer, and spinal issues, see a physiotherapist. Before anyone says chiropractic, it’s a scam.

Port and starboard are easy enough in a powerboat (of the type I am familiar with). Tie up port side, sit on starboard (steer board) side to steer.

But what is most fun is remembering what direction in a channel one is travelling in an area where the channels merge.

People who work in research often have their whole life built around their specific field of research, to the point where their transferable skills and knowledge are minimized or excluded. Financially, they’re usually dependent on the institution they work for to a far greater degree than most professions are, which is part of why tenure exists. They also—but certainly not always—are neurodivergent. Their area of research is necessarily something they’re passionate about.

I can totally see this happening. There’s a lot going on in the world right now. Many people are experiencing extreme anxiety about world events they don’t have power over.

Being personally bullied by the government specifically about the work that is tremendously personally important would be devastating.

That reminds me of a project that a city in i think Norway started. In winter, clear the sidewalks, bike lanes, and side streets first.

The drop in hospital visits saved them billions, as slip and fall injuries plummeted (walking kids to school) and people just went to work a little later or worked from home if weather was a concern.

  1. Work with urban planners to build safer roads.
  2. Make drivers licenses a privilege, not a right.

1 costs money, and 2 is politically challenging and costs money in several ways.

Sure, let’s just gloss over the cost of heating - which relies heavily on fossil fuels or smog-producing fuels, or both.

Datacentre thermal management (especially for AI)isn’t even in the same ballpark as cooling for homes. One produces pretty charts for management, the other keeps people alive.

TSLA at this moment is up nearly 5% for the day, and 13.37% in last 6months.

Musk Stans are stupid AF.

Except you did the marathon in a world record time, and almost every other time you attempted it, you couldn’t get halfway through at a walking pace.

I thought that the liquor monopoly in Canada are pulling American product? Jack Daniel’s is unmistakably a US brand.

“It’s not the people,” she said. “Everyone has been amazing and nice and kind.”

It is those people. The majority were silent and let this happen, or they voted directly for it. Now they continue to enable him.

It’s also possible that he (or his advisors) see Canada as a vassal state that should adhere more closely to the desires of their overlords in Washington. The technicalities are significant, but putting the right politicians in the right places would achieve their goals equally. It’s not like the USA hasn’t done this before with other countries.
