The number one killer of indoor plants is over watering. Wait for the leaves to wilt before watering.

I don't know much about this particular plant but judging by the dark leaves, it probably doesn't need as much light as the label says. Put it in a corner of a room that gets light, but not right in front of it.

Once a week, move the plant closer to the window and see if that helps it perk up.

It's been so long since I've been to the movies that I didn't even realize that theatres now have assigned seats.

It's from 2016...I would have been surprised if it still worked.

Chicken thigh with Roasted Vegetables

  • Pan fry chicken thigh, making sure the thickest part reaches 165° F
  • Season to taste (I recommend a pinch of kosher salt and a good helping of black pepper but that's just me. You can also go savory with rosemary sprig for the last 5 minutes of cooking)
  • While chicken is cooking, put chosen vegetables in a bowl, lightly cover with olive oil. Sprinkle salt
  • bake in oven at 400°F for 45 minutes

If you're feeling adventurous:

  • sear both sides of chicken in a Dutch oven (or cast iron)
  • while waiting, season vegetables as instructed above
  • once both sides of the chicken are sufficiently browned, add vegetables to the Dutch oven
  • Cover and stick it in the oven at 375°F for 30-45 minutes depending on how done you want your vegetables

If you use the latter method, be sure to cook the chicken all the way through. Vegetables will be soaked in chicken fat.

I use their exact same language of "by continuing to allow access to the system, you agree to the terms."

I am not a lawyer but the way I see it, there is no downside.

  • if it's accepted by a court, then I win
  • if it's not accepted, then the language itself is now influx, opening the door for me or others to use the ruling to continue to chip away at forced arbitration and I'm no worse off than just accepting their terms

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cutting_off_one%27s_nose_to_spite_one%27s_face?wprov=sfla1

I've always heard it as "Cut off your own nose to spit in someone's face".

Basically it means you are willing to hurt yourself just to be able to make your enemy miserable.

I thought the UI looked familiar.

I never got that error when I downloaded MoBo patches.

Personally, I think it was Civil War that really pushed the superhero genre. It was no longer a bunch of good guys fighting evil.

It was good guys can't agree on what good means and will fight each other to prove themselves right.

Just because you are private, doesn't mean that you answer only to yourself. It depends on how the company is structured and what shares (if any) the leadership holds. In some cases it can be worse because the person who has the shares to force you to do what they want will be able to keep their position without any oversight. Boards in public trades companies are at least public.

Discord is a great example of this. They are privately held and their quality is starting to go down.

I absolutely hate how dependent we've gotten to IPv4. To the point that Amazon is charging almost $4 a month per IP. It used to be free. These assholes are buying IPv4 addresses so fast that they are literally driving up the price.

Is there a resource that you can recommend on learning IPv6 based on my knowledge on IPv4? A lot of resources I've seen are way over engineered for my feeble brain.

Like I know what IP addresses are and what port numbers are. I don't understand the difference between how IPv6 addresses are assigned (both locally and generally speaking) and what makes it different from IPv4.

I know it's not DHCP.

Edit: This post provides a link to a great summary for those who know IPv4 but need to learn IPv6.

I recently rewatched Chuck and fully agree the first three seasons are very strong. I did see a few plot holes upon watching it straight through that I never caught when I watched it live.

There were a lot of shows like this around the same time.

Burn Notice had the overall arc of Michael resolving the Burn Notice but individual "criminal of the week" episodes.

Agents of Shield started as a "084 of the week" but I think around season 3 moved more toward a fully serialized show.

I think Burn Notice specifically, not necessarily started, but saw how people were starting to change how they watched shows. I believe USA Network even posted the shows the day after on their website for people to watch.

I'm okay with serialization so long as it's a good story.
