Have a stuffy nose?

Allergies?

Try snorting swarms of robots up your nose, melt the mucus and clean your sinuses.

Snorting swarms of robots is an easy outpatient procedure.

Snort them directly into your sinuses.

You will certainly not regret snorting swarms of robots up your nose.

I've put my life into wtf mode. I don't even think it's good to raise my daughter here anymore.

It's now more of a question of do I stay to help my country, or do I leave to help my daughter?

The White House has launched a new website to promote President Trump’s agenda, a page that looks similar to the popular Drudge Report that has served as a must-read for conservative media members and political operatives for years.

It's a Twofer (infosec.pub)

The Regime has issued 2 new Executive Orders which have a lot of implications, especially when paired together.

Remember, historical authoritarian consolidation typically follows this pattern:

  1. Target marginalized groups first
  2. Create legal/administrative frameworks under crisis justification
  3. Gradually expand systems to broader populations
  4. Centralize power under executive control

Summary of the Executive Orders

  1. Protecting American Communities from Criminal Aliens

    • Orders the compilation of a list of "sanctuary jurisdictions" [Blue States and Cities] which are deemed in defiance of the Regime.
    • It warns of consequences for places with Sanctuary Jurisdiction Status including suspension or termination of Federal funds as well as legal remedies and enforcement measures to bring such jurisdictions into compliance.
    • When a State or City is judged as defying the Regime, all Aliens in that Sanctuary Jurisdiction lose Federal Benefits. There is no specification if the Alien is a criminal, if they are legally staying in the US, or even if they have a green card and are a Resident Alien.
    • The order also states that it will violate States rights and that the Federal Government will identify and take appropriate action to stop the enforcement of State and local laws, regulations, policies, and practices that it disagrees with.
  2. Strengthening and Unleashing America's Law Enforcement to Pursue Criminals and Protect Innocent Citizens

    • Provide Federally funded legal resources and indemnification to law enforcement officers who incur expenses and liabilities for actions taken while enforcing the law
    • Recruit, retrain, and protect law enforcement so that they can better carry out the Regime's orders
    • Make examples out of anyone that in any way defies a law enforcement officer or the Regime
    • invest in the security and capacity of prisons
    • increase the investment in and collection, distribution, and uniformity of crime data across jurisdictions.
    • increase the provision of excess military and national security assets in local jurisdictions to assist State and local law enforcement.
    • determine how military and national security assets, training, non-lethal capabilities, and personnel can most effectively be utilized
    • prosecution of State and local officials who direct the obstruction of criminal law or engage in DEI
    • Use of Homeland Security Task Forces to coordinate the expedition of this order

What is the Regime planning with these 2 orders?

  • Regime command over State autonomy

    • The intention to withhold Federal resources by demanding cooperation in immigration and law enforcement.
    • The Regime wants to assert unchecked authority to force compliance.
    • States might resist, but absent constitutional safeguards, they’d have no recourse -- only political defiance (e.g., governors refusing Federal funding).
    • Regime oversight of local law enforcement erodes state/local autonomy, ensuring loyalty to the regime.
    • Funds and equipment flow to loyalists, reinforcing regime-aligned factions.
  • Threatening sanctions

    • Withholding Federal funding
    • Directly prosecuting state officials for obstruction
    • Framing critics as "criminals", discredits opposition in the eyes of the public.
  • Fear and Compliance

    • Further militarized police that are free to do anything they want foster a climate of fear, discouraging dissent.
    • Rhetoric of "protecting innocents" legitimizes crackdowns to the general public.
    • Creates a scapegoat "Criminal alien" that could be expanded to other groups
  • Expanded Law Enforcement Powers

    • Grants law enforcement agencies broader authority, including reduced judicial oversight in certain cases.
    • Increases funding and resources for local law enforcement, including military-grade equipment, under the justification of "protecting innocent citizens."
    • Directs federal agencies to coordinate more closely with local law enforcement, potentially bypassing state or local autonomy.
    • Coordination between federal and local agencies enable better surveillance of dissidents or censorship.
  • Erosion of Checks and Balances

    • Limits judicial review for certain law enforcement actions, weakening accountability mechanisms.
    • Creates a patronage system where agencies depend on executive branch resources.
    • Reduced judicial oversight allows the regime to bypass legal challenges.
    • Rapid implementation without legislative debate avoids scrutiny or opposition.

Historical Parallels

  • Germany (1930s): The Reichstag Fire Decree centralized power under the guise of "public safety."
  • Venezuela (2000s): Chávez federalized police and courts.
  • Modern Autocrats: Rules against "extremism" in Russia or "subversion" in China are used to criminalize dissent.
  • Militarization: Increased police militarization can lead to suppression of protests or civil unrest under the guise of maintaining order.
  • Echoes authoritarian playbooks where law enforcement is weaponized against political opponents.
  • Language emphasizing "law and order" and "protecting the innocent," has historically been used to justify crackdowns on dissent.

This executive order makes sweeping changes to Civil Rights. This is the document that the EO is referencing 28 C.F.R. 42.104

Things that the regime hopes to do:

  1. Centralize Power by Eliminating Checks and Balances

    • Meritocracy as a Smokescreen:
      • By framing the order as "restoring meritocracy," the regime could dismantle diversity initiatives that promote independent oversight (e.g., civil rights offices, diversity committees).
      • This weakens institutional resistance to authoritarianism by removing advocates for accountability.
    • Loyalty Over Competence:
      • In practice, "merit" could be redefined to prioritize political loyalty rather than objective qualifications.
      • Federal agencies could be purged of dissenting voices and replaced with loyalists, as seen in historical fascist regimes (e.g., Nazi Germany’s Gleichschaltung—coordination of institutions under party control).
  2. Suppress Opposition and Marginalized Groups

    • Roll Back Protections for Minorities:
      • By eliminating race or gender-conscious policies, the regime could systematically exclude minority groups from federal employment and contracting.
      • This aligns with fascist tactics of scapegoating certain demographics (e.g., Jews in Nazi Germany, immigrants in other regimes).
    • Legalizing Discrimination:
      • The changes to 28 CFR § 42.104 could make it harder to challenge discriminatory practices in court, as "affirmative action" remedies are restricted.
      • This creates a legal veneer for exclusionary policies.
  3. Control the Bureaucracy and Economy

    • Patronage Networks:
      • A fascist regime thrives on patronage—rewarding loyalists with jobs and contracts.
      • By removing diversity requirements, the government could funnel contracts to politically connected allies (e.g., corporate supporters of the regime).
    • Weaken Labor Protections:
      • Merit-based hiring could be used to break unions or activist groups by labeling them as "non-merit" influences.
      • This mirrors historical fascist suppression of labor movements (e.g., Mussolini’s corporatist state).
  4. Propaganda and Ideological Control

    • Manufacture a "Pure" National Identity:
      • Fascist regimes often promote myths of national purity (e.g., Nazi "Aryan supremacy").
      • The executive order could be spun as "ending divisive identity politics" and promoting a homogenized national workforce.
    • Scapegoating "Elites" and "Diversity Advocates":
      • The regime might frame diversity initiatives as corrupt or anti-American, rallying supporters against perceived enemies.
      • This is a classic fascist tactic (e.g., Hitler’s attacks on "cultural Marxists").
  5. Legal and Institutional Erosion

    • Undermine the Rule of Law:
      • The changes to 28 CFR § 42.104 weaken legal tools to fight discrimination, making it harder to prove systemic bias in court.
      • By altering regulations like 28 CFR § 42.104, the regime could normalize executive overreach—gradually eroding legal protections.
      • This paves the way for more extreme measures (e.g., suspending elections, militarizing law enforcement).
    • Preventing Future Resistance:
      • A workforce stripped of diversity and dissent is easier to control.
      • This aligns with historical fascist strategies of eliminating opposition within institutions (e.g., Nazi purges of "disloyal" civil servants).

Comparison to Historical Fascist Regimes

  • Nazi Germany (1930s):
    • Hitler’s Civil Service Law (1933) banned Jews and political opponents from government jobs, framing it as "restoring professionalism."
    • The Enabling Act (1933) allowed Hitler to bypass the legislature—similar to how executive orders can bypass Congress.
  • Mussolini’s Italy (1920s-30s):
    • The fascist syndicates replaced independent unions, ensuring loyalty to the state.
    • The Acerbo Law (1923) rigged elections to guarantee fascist dominance.

Quotes from the source

(ii) For purposes of subsection (a) of this section, “documentary proof of United States citizenship” shall include a copy of: (A) a United States passport; (B) an identification document compliant with the requirements of the REAL ID Act of 2005 (Public Law 109-13, Div. B) that indicates the applicant is a citizen of the United States; (C) an official military identification card that indicates the applicant is a citizen of the United States; or (D) a valid Federal or State government-issued photo identification if such identification indicates that the applicant is a United States citizen or if such identification is otherwise accompanied by proof of United States citizenship.

the Secretary of Homeland Security shall, consistent with applicable law, ensure that State and local officials have, without the requirement of the payment of a fee, access to appropriate systems for verifying the citizenship or immigration status of individuals registering to vote or who are already registered;

the Department of Homeland Security, in coordination with the DOGE Administrator, shall review each State’s publicly available voter registration list and available records concerning voter list maintenance activities as required by 52 U.S.C. 20507, alongside Federal immigration databases and State records requested, including through subpoena where necessary and authorized by law, for consistency with Federal requirements.

The Attorney General shall take all necessary action to enforce 2 U.S.C. 7 and 3 U.S.C. 1 against States that violate these provisions by including absentee or mail-in ballots received after Election Day in the final tabulation of votes for the appointment of Presidential electors and the election of members of the United States Senate and House of Representatives.

Possible Outcomes

  • Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) will have total oversight and control of elections and its results. DOGE will not be subject to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Requests.
  • Registered democratic party members and millions of other citizens will be deleted from voter registrations. Re-registration will not be with the state, but will be implemented under regime control via DOGE and with frequently changing requirements especially just before elections take place.
  • Voters will need to ensure they have a valid US passport which is good for at least 1 year before the next time they plan to vote. Consider that this regime will probably make it difficult to renew passports. Also note that while a passport is in the process of being renewed, it will not be accessible.
  • Transgender people will have a hard time figuring out how to vote as they wont be given passports that matches their state identity.
  • Voters should consider getting a secondary pre-approved document that plainly states citizenship status. However, expect the list of pre-approved documents to change just before elections take place to remove as many legally eligible voters from the democratic process as possible.
  • Expect the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) & Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to be at polling stations to intimidate, delay, and racially profile voters. Expect further challenges to mail in ballots which enforce in person voting the day of. Arrests and deportations may be weaponized at the voting booth as well, make sure to bring all the documents that one would bring to an immigration office to prove legal status.
  • Considering that all votes must now be counted on election day, expect to see major delays and interventions deliberately implemented in heavily democratic voting areas.
  • If a state fails to meet the tabulation deadline (election day), that state's votes simply wont be counted. The states most likely to experience delays are the states that also have the highest population densities, coincidentally, these are states that are more likely to vote for the democratic party.

This is not a depiction of a village, this is what happens when the village no longer exists and everyone has to live in isolation from any social safety nets. Or to put it another way, Neoliberalism.

For me it's that I don't want short form video anywhere near my view.

I went to a bar for a drink the other day. They had TVs all over the place which I normally don't care for but it looked like golf or something I could just ignore. After I ordered my drink I realized how wrong was.

It was actually some weird short form video TV channel. They croped the 16:9 screen into a 1:1 square with moving neon lines in the "empty space" where there was no video. Each video was about 5 seconds long and showed brainless content of people using a Rube Goldburg machine or doing card tricks and other such nonsense.

Once I realized what was happening it was too late as I got my drink and I felt compelled to finish it and pay. I tried to ignore the 5+ screens in my view but they were too big and eye-catching to really ignore. I kept catching myself looking at one of the screens after a minute or so. I felt like I was getting serotonin raped between ads.

Eventually I moved to sit by a window and stare at a tree. I'll never go back to a bar like that again.

I'd argue it's better to use actual alternatives. Half of the issue with free and open source software is that it's userbase is too small. If more people used it, it could actually improve in many ways.

Lets take gaming on Linux as an example. The userbase on steam is somewhere around 5%. So there is almost no incentive for developers to make games that run nativly on Linux. Its actually easier to run the games in a compatibility layer then to get a Linux port of a game. And although wine and proton work incredibly well, sometimes even running a game better than on windows; a Linux native version of every game would be ideal. Which will never happen with such a small userbase.

Next you have the terrible business practices of these companies. Even if you use the pirated versions. You are in their ecosystem and their community. You increase their profitability and their stock price simply by continuing the industry standard.

Pirated versions of software like this is excusable if you need it for work or sometihing. But imagine if instead of staying with the status quo, you use and help improve actual free and open source alternatives. Versons of software that don't steal your data or monetize how you use it by selling your input to others or stealing it for "AI" datasets.

Imagine using free and open source software that gives you feedom because your data stays on your devices, your creations belong to only yourself or who ypu choose to share it with, and you work with others to improve it; even if it's by just submitting bug reports. Imagine using something like that which you find so altruisticly beneficial that instead of pirating the software that has no respect for you, you donate money to the devs of free and open source software. Yes, I'm a pirate. But I do donate money to the right causes and something that protects my freedom is worth both my time and my money.

GameBanana mods have saved me so much wasted time while playing animal crossing nh with my daughter.

The game is cute but it's so slow with many long loading screens and has one if the worst UIs of any game I've ever played. Mods were able to help a bit atleast.

Fuck Nintendo.

Honestly. It's about more than money.

If your boss says you must return to the office, after 3 years of WFH. At best, it shows that they do not value or respect you, and are just making an arbitrary decision in a bid to sell more stocks.

At worst, there might be some insidious reason to make employees physically available. Maybe they are getting a kickback somehow, or selling data that they can only get when you are there, or maybe they are just horny and want to seduce you sexually.

A remote worker is often happier, more productive, and cost less to employ even if they are paid the same as an on-site worker. Offices do not have to provide parking, seating, HVAC, power, wifi, and will even have less physical security vectors.

If some people prefer to go into an office, then it should be optional. Not a hybrid model where they force you to come a certain number of days a week.

At the end of the day unless you are on some kind of probation or evaluation period WFH should be the default when ever possible.
