Most Piped instances are also not working because they use NewPipe Extractor under the hood.

I have also temporarily switched to FreeTube for Android, because a few of the Invidious instances are still working fine.

The nice thing about the FOSS world is that it's pretty easy to import subscriptions and other stuff from NewPipe to FreeTube.

I hope this YouTube fuckery is handled soon. I love NewPipe way more every time it successfully deals with the YT weirdos.

Basically title.

Is there an alternative to Multi-Account Container for Firefox Android ? It seems that add on has not yet been released in AMO for android, and I use that Add-on in my firefox installed in another device (Windows), so was wondering if there is an option for Android. Thanks !

Logically yes, downloading or a sharing a digital file is a "lost sale" - but as Aaron Swartz said - "lost sales" are also caused by Earthquakes, Libraries/DVD Rentals, Negative Yelp reviews, Market Competitors, and so on. Why just blame it on file sharing...

My basic physics knowledge says that the larger chips - near the top of a bag of chips - are not "stable", they are kinda precariously balanced only at one or two points. But once the brittle chips break down, they tend to settle at the bottom because the crumbles are more "stable" there, and are at a lower state of potential energy.

Just my own theory, but would like to know what others think here.

Edit : Does this question not belong to this community ? I couldn't explain the downvotes..

LOL.

We pay for 4K, but we don't get more than 720p unless we use some proprietary shit hardware and agree to their super-invasive "privacy policy" - and they expect people to NOT set sail in the high seas? GTFO..

Just started reading this book this week - and oh boy (pun intended) it is relatable AF.

Really unfortunate that we lost him at so early an age. He really could have changed the world for better.

To provide "personal recommendation", an App would most likely need to profile you, i.e. track your viewing habits and trends, and forecast your areas of interests.

IMO this goes directly against the concept of privacy.

On the brighter side, I think Freetube (local, on windows) and LibreTube (on Android, but needs a piped account) can provide personalized video suggestions, but you yourself should check them out.

However, I would probably trust a provider more if there has been an actual case where police tried getting the logs and the VPN provider gave them nothing

That literally is what happened with Mullvad.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned in the 224 (so far) comments... but another bad guy worth hating is

Hewlett Packard.

Their

"Hey, you need to have our proprietary ink cartrige in your HP inkjet printer plus scanner to print AND to scan as well. The scanner won't work when you are out of ink"

Is just plain fuckery.

It depends on the booger itself. If it's a dry one, I just pinch it into a ball and flick it across the room. If it's one of those wet, sticky, semi-solid ones, I rub it between my thumb and index finger until most of the moisture is removed and the booger is determined to be flickable without being a little bastard and just sticking to one of my nails.

Is that a double negative, or am I hallucinating ?

"..Why must I register my car? A license and insruance should be all I need. I don't register my shoes. I don't register my computers. A car is no different..."

You have a very legit question, and I too thought about this.

And I think the reason is just the same as registering your firearms - because in the end your car is a 4,000 lb killing machine.

Everything else you mentioned - I agree 100%
