The release of the iPhone and iPod touch was such a special time for me. The jailbreaking scene was just getting started and it started my life long fascination with tinkering with technology.
I think you're overthinking this. Twitter used to be a place where I could keep up with my friends. Now, it's a place filled with many forms of hate. Because of this, I no longer wish to use it, so I left.
I personally have no care in the world for what happens with Twitter. Why should I? It becomes overrun with bigots? So what?
Remaining on a platform filled with hate is an indicator that you're ok with that. I am not, so I left. end of story.
Love this channel, love that you guys over here love it as well. Thanks for being cool, beehaw.

Been having lots of improvements from this release. Thanks lemmy devs!
I just visit the top Lemmy instances, sort by local category, and follow the ones I like on each instance. It doesn't matter if I follow 4 different channels called !technology cause I'll just get them all in my feed. I'm following self hosting on both lemmy.ml and lemmy.world and I get posts from both. I couldn't care less where it comes from, as long as I'm following I'm good to go.
There are many sites and list of large Lemmy servers right now. Just check out beehaw, lemmy.ml, lemmy.world, sh.itjust.works, etc.
I love how stock android looks but agree that it's become too iPhone like. One UI has become a great balance!
It's cool that you can understand a topic without being a huge fan. Cool to keep up with the entire industry as a whole. Good stuff.
Yeah I definitely don't pre order games anymore. But I'll be picking this one up on release for sure.
I've been trying it out. Of course there's still a bit of polish to add, but the overall look and feel is exactly what I was looking for in a Lemmy reader app. Simplistic, large, clear text. I really love how the action/respond buttons dont appear until you tap the comment. Super intuitive.
The only thing missing is 0.18 support, which isn't really a complaint considering it just started rolling out earlier today. That's what I get for being on the bleeding edge I guess.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
I have a pair of Senheiser HD6xx from Drop.com. It's basically a pair of HD600s with slightly cheaper plastic and bare bones packaging. They have the exact same drivers as the 600s. These cans have been famous for decades with good reason, as they give the perfect balance of low, mid, and high end.
They're a bit pricey at around $230, and you'll also need a great amplifier to power it. You can always go with a decent $99 desktop amp or you can shell out $300 on a high quality DAC+AMP. I have the Audient ID14, and everything sounds FANTASTIC. I can turn up the music super loud and still have head room.
TLDR; Drop.com Senheiser HD6xx with an Audient i14 to power them. Overkill for casual listening, perfect value for audiophiles.
