It's okay, lemmy libs have been taking credit for this for months at least, so it must have actually done good before this point, right?

The supreme court thing isn't decades happening. Someone actually making use of the ruling might be.

It's also worth mentioning that the state laying claim to minerals does not mean they have been socialized, and indeed they have not been, though what China actually did was nonetheless reasonable.

(I'm like desperate here, clearly Russia has figured out our ways and avoids all k's and c's)

Is it though?

Yes, it is responsible for those things, like when we say smoking is associated with higher risk of lung cancer.

In the common consciousness?

Moving the goalposts. Good job observing that liberal propaganda takes credit for good things and not for bad things.

Though outside of America, you get a much more accurate view of the term because liberal means "sniveling, centrist, market-fetishist" in most other countries.

I am nauseated by the way that this story -- which I don't doubt is true because Mossad and Israel are wretched -- will feed into scapegoating Jews for US problems even more than people already do.

Sentence structure means that it kind of can't happen in real-time as such, because you would need to wait until potentially the end of the sentence to get words that appear early in the sentence in an accurate and natural-ish translation. If "20 seconds later" is real time, barring run-on sentences, which are much more common in speech than in writing, then I guess.

Most countries are assisting Ukraine where they can.

Always the same map

Putin never said he sought to annihilate Nazism in general, at least not that I know of. He said that among his goals is to denazify Ukraine, which I believe is true simply because the Ukrainian Nazis are his most hardliners opponents there. He does also crack down on Russian fascists when they become inconvenient to him (like darling of the west Navalny), but I don't think he ever claimed to be an antifascist.

Yeah, looking busy is way more important than being productive a lot of the time. You always need to be doing something, so you just go through the motions of doing things because otherwise you'll get shit from your employers. Waiting in good faith for more real tasks to emerge isn't enough, so you must invent chores.

At least, that was very consistently my experience in retail.

Be careful, saying something like that might get you called a wumao

[-] GarbageShoot@hexbear.net 55 points 1 year ago

Imagine thinking the most Redditor-ass reply of linking to Wikipedia of all places on a topic they are already familiar with is useful. Do you believe the Reddit myth about wumaos being shot whenever they see the phrase "Tiananmen Square Massacre" is true?
