Nice yeah that site actively rejects https connections.

It's pretty nice, especially in combination with slurp which lets you select a part of the screen.

I have this mapped to my printscreen shortcut: grim -g "$(slurp)" - | wl-copy, which lets you select a part of the screen to screenshot, and copies the image to the clipboard.

Yeah, I feel like most of the updates lately have been pretty boring. The last "big" change was material 3 I think, but even that was just some visual changes.

Not exactly 1:1. The main thing that I still miss is multi lingual typing. It's not too big a deal to just switch the languages when I need to, especially since I only use 2. But that's still more than I needed to do with Gboard or Heliboard.

Yeah, the only thing I've ever seen is the MOK management thingy your bios will throw you into if something wants to add a new key, but iirc that can only list the key you're about to add, not all of them. I also have no idea how you get to that menu without adding a new key.

One of my monitors is "HDR ready", whatever that means. Sure as shit doesn't look like HDR though

You already don't have to do that. That's what IDE's have autocomplete for.

Have you tested if hardware acceleration even works at all? On my Fedora install, whenever I try the latest 545 driver, it just doesn't work. glxinfo just returns an error, insufficient resources.

535 still works great for me though.

Subdomain is absolutely the correct term!

Also, there are much easier ways of DNS blocking on Android that don't require rooting, but instead act as an always on VPN. I use TrackerControl, though that's meant to block trackers and I'm not sure if you can manually add domains.

I don't know connectbot, but it's probably not putting the keys where openssh is expecting them.

By default, ssh looks for keys in ~/.ssh/id_rsa(.pub for the public key).

What I would do is just run ssh-keygen from termux, let it create the .ssh folder and set the correct permissions etc., see where it put that folder, and then just replace the id_rsa files with those from connectbot.

Only issue I have with 1Password is their Android app. It works great most of the time, except that they didn't implement the Android autofill stuff correctly.

It sees Firefox as a browser and offers autofill suggestions for the websites just fine, but apparently Fennec isn't on their allowed browser list or something. It just sees Fennec as another android app and doesn't offer logins for the website I'm on, just ones that I've linked to the Fennec app.

Not trying to defend windows or anything, but

Fast boot/reboot times (less than 10 minutes)

What? In my experience, nowadays Linux is probably still a bit faster than windows in boot times, but that's comparing 20 seconds to like 30 seconds. Nowhere near 10 minutes.
