Why not be the change you wish to see, then? Fork it, and surely they will come.

That or Linus' work is of high enough quality that people are willing to put up with his crass behavior.

Also, somewhat unrelated, but comparing Linus to Elon is a nonstarter. Elon has money, but contributes little more than ego past that. Linus, on the other hand, actually gets his hands dirty. I don't care for his behavior, but I do respect someone who actually does the work.

Alright we're done here. Go annoy someone else with your ranting.

You're not interested in debate or discussion. You're a dedicated white knight for gimp and all it's jank, and you've no interest in engaging with the points made by others. Your best counterarguments are to either attack the person you disagree with directly, or what boils down to a "nuh uh because it works for me!".

If you want to actually discuss this do it in good faith or stop wasting our time.

You're a one man logical fallacy machine just reusing the same lines over and over. Just go away.

Krita gets ~4000 euros a month and their ui is beautiful, functional, streamlined, and dare I say on par with much, much larger offerings. Until recently Zbrush was a 1-time license purchase for years and years. Their software is incredibly powerful and their UI is well organized and feature rich, and their entire net worth is like $100k total...

I'm going to let you argue with the wall, because you'd rather talk feelings than make a coherent argument.

I keep reading this but it literally never shows up in my feed. I have filters off too. I wonder why that is.

If you think using big words and calling people childish names is making a coherent argument then there's really nothing to be done here...

I didn't say I didn't want to contribute willingly, I said I didn't want to spend my time engaging trolls and unsavory individuals. I'd rather they fade into obscurity and get on about my day.

Go ahead and reread it if you need proof, it's all up there.

Bruh I'm just trying to scroll through interesting posts and interact with people worth having a discussion with. If you get off putting people in their place all day then feel free to sort by lowest score or whatever mechanism eventually appears.

If you want to change someone's mind you aren't going to do it by putting them on the spot and belittling them for it. That just backs a person into the corner and makes them double down. The whole "I'd rather be Russian than Democrat" is perfect example of this.

If you want to make them change their ways then just ignore their desperate pleas for attention. Kids don't earn the right to sit at the grown up table by acting like kids, but eventually they mature and learn nuance and that earns them a seat.

Honestly I don't even feel the need to Google to confirm, that seems hilariously par for the course.

Yep same. I was kinda excited about the PvE aspect, and hoped I could adapt to the new pvp. Instead I find I miss the two-tank dynamic of OW1, and the pace of fighting in OW2 just feels like it's missing something. I tried for a couple of days, but it just felt soulless and grindy and I ended up uninstalling. I had 5-figure hours in OW1, I just want the good game back...

Pretty much why Reddit removed downvotes I think... brands got tired of users raining downvotes on them for shilling lol.

It's a big, relevant, ongoing event which affects the fediverse directly. There's a huge influx of new users who were recently burned by it who would normally go to "the other website" to discuss, but no longer do.

Would you prefer they go back, or is there a place here for those displaced?
