I kind of did the opposite. I assumed the change would be negligible or in the customer's benefit based on Valve's track record. I hope this never changes.

Lol, nah, just point out how crazy it lines up with the election that gave us trump to begin with.

You're probably right about that point. The incel victimhood mindset is probably a primary factor. The word incel is often used pejoratively, but it is short for "involuntarily celibate", meaning they want sex but there are no willing partners able to consent... But that won't stop them if they get a good opportunity... Yikes.

I'll bite. Besides the 5 minute plot device intro that is never referenced again in the entire movie, what message does it have? I could see maybe a vague anti corporate message, but all of the movie seems tongue in cheek, including the intro.

And if eugenics is the only political message you can think of, at least we can both be glad it failed and that this comedy movie has only been taken as a joke.

Yeah, short sightedness seems like the biggest defining factor of the anti union mindset.

Remember, if a company steals from you and the entire country on a regular basis, it's smart business. If you so much as steal food from them, you're a monster.

I think this election is a little different in that we have a known threat that is significantly worse than the alternative. It's not an exaggeration to say that Trump is a threat to democracy and to anyone that doesn't want to live under religious law as interpreted by the Republicans.

The other candidate is harm reduction presidentially personified. That is the best choice we actually have, and the consequences for disincentivizing left leaning or undecided voters is much worse than Bush, and that's saying something.

Vote against Christ flavored dictatorship, and encourage others to do the same. And not some impossible 3rd party bullshit.

Financial success is such a huge thing for everyone, I'm glad you see it isn't everything. I also meant the other things, you seem like a good dude.

That or the cicada po boy. Exoskeleton off, a good breading, some remoulade sauce and a fresh roll sounds pretty good if their texture is shrimp like.

That does seem like a troubling situation. I do imagine that there are likely quite a few people who took those positions with good intentions, but when the new ruler comes to town and asks who wants power, it does seem obvious that there are strings attached. In this case, the deal was indeed to become a traitor in exchange for power/position, but I'm sure many were signing up just to survive.

You're right, there are probably good people that are going to be harmed alongside the bad, and I don't think there is a perfect solution. I would say it needs to get talked about as we get closer to a peace deal, it's truly regrettable that Russia decided to create this problem, maybe they could also work towards a solution for these citizens they forced into this role.

Edit: purely hypothetical, but one thought comes to mind. A compromise might be acceptable if they were given the choice to either retain their Ukrainian citizenship, but lose their position, or to defect to Russia. Though, once again this realm of decision making lies entirely in the hands of the victor of the war.

I don't have a definitive answer for that, even good Google results evade me. What I do know is that lithium batteries, lithium ion batteries, and lithium phosphate batteries are all slightly different things with different material properties.

You are in the right for thinking that elemental lithium batteries are generally very reactive to water, and air for that matter. But I know that lithium phosphate fires, which are the batteries that power most electric cars, have to be cooled with a lot of water to try to stop the reaction. I also recently saw a technique for conserving water when putting out an electric vehicle fire, it was to crane it into essentially a shipping container full of water.

So while I know lithium + water = bad, and lithium phosphate + water = ok for quenching, I actually can't find any definitive results for lithium ion + water. I'm also assuming that the ship is carrying just lithium ion or lithium phosphate batteries, since they are by far the most common. (After going back and rereading the title, it seems ion alone)
