I don't want to be disrespectful, but I don't know which isolated island you come from, because two weeks of paternity leave is illegal since some years ago. Now paternity leave, according to the article 48 of the Statute of Workers' Rights, is 16 weeks.

I just hope it's European.

Have they added safety features like denying follows yet?

Also, they really need to create apps for all platforms, this would increase their popularity and usability.

Hello. So, since 2022 I visited several Mastodon servers or created an account on them, and I somehow feel uncomfortable on all of them. Either they're filled with activism / politics, which I don't give a fck about, or they're filled with people from the US or people who cares more about US than about their own countries (admins included), and I'm tired of that sht.

I was looking for international Mastodon servers with the less amount of Usonian shenanigans, but it's impossible to do that kind of search, and I don't know any other fediverse place to hang out as a non-Usonian person. Any recommendation?

Retro games (console & computer), indie games and open source games for the win, absolutely.

I just hope that the IPO backfires, or that users suddenly realise how shitty that webpage is and they leave.

Hi, Elmo Muskrat. Why don't you stop playing too much Call of Duty and instead you go to Russian occupied territories in Ukraine to see how Ukrainians are living and being treated? Just a little tiny suggestion, as small as your brain. You're welcome.

Sorry, I didn't write correctly what I meant. I meant calling someone names, like "you're this" or "you're that", just because you have a different opinion than mine.

I always avoid communities related to politics because of that reason. There are other reasons, like a big focus on US politics or being feed with politics 24 hours per day every day.

But I noticed an increasing amount of hostility in other communities as well, not related directly to politics. For example, in those communities about Ukraine, there is always the usual tankie spreading strong words and what not. Or when there is a post about defederating certain instance, it seems that people take it personally and swear words are easily launched.

People can say the same things in a good way, being nice and polite. There is no need to troll or make others feel shitty. It also depends on what instance you're on, but for the most part, it's on us how we want this to become into: either a civil place to discuss everything, or Reddit 2.0.

ITS NOT COMMUNISM GUYS, ITS FASCISM!

Most communists are closeted fascists. Poor souls.

I'm playing Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup (DCSS for friends), trying to get the Orb of Zot unsuccessfully.

My best runs so far are with a Minotaur, although a Gnoll is good too, more or less. The farthest I've arrived so far is Dungeon:12, and Orcish Mines:2 were nasty the two times I achieved to get into it.

OK, so this happens since the UI update, but I noticed it last week. I had some games installed, and I wanted to free some space in my hard drive.

I did the usual thing: right click on the game I wanted to uninstall, go to manage, and click on uninstall. Nothing happens. I do it again, and nothing happens. I try with another video game, same thing, nothing happens. It's supposed that a pop up window should appear to confirm my decision, but there is no pop up window.

I tried to uninstall Steam and reinstall again, maybe that do the trick. I write my username and password, I put my verification code, and I proceed to change my Steam parameters. I select Spanish in the drop down menu language... and nothing happens. I try to opt in the Steam beta, and nothing happens.

So, every time there is a drop down menu or something similar, it's like I'm clicking onto the void. The menu disappears, there is no message, there is no pop up window, there is nothing. So, I can't to almost anything.

Does anyone know what should I do? I'm using Lubuntu.
