Just ensured this man's face will grace t-shirts for generations

Yeah I basically did this at a bar I frequent last week and I need to wait at least a month to go back and hope nobody remembers. I have a few bars to rotate through like that

How do you load that page and not immediately close it

It's a fucked up idea, but if this whole ordeal weakens the US, it might delay if not prevent a war with China, and actually save billions. It's not exactly a consolation, but the bombs used in the mountains of Lebanon are not going to be used in East Asia.

My inlaws are not happy people this last year. I hate to play armchair psychologist or whatever but it's like their relationship with the place is really brittle and disordered. Amber Frost had a quote somewhat recently about "joy" vs "glee". Times like these do not evoke joy, they evoke glee. Then they'll see an article that offers token criticism of civilian losses and despair like the cattle cars are coming.

I really don't like a lot of the rhetoric about cultural or racial intergenerational trauma... I think it stretches concepts like family systems and epigenetics to the limit of believability. It also poisoned by the dominant narrative. Zionists are often forgiven for being overly reactive because of intergenerational trauma, but somehow this is not applicable to Russians, for example. And really, all of us living are descended almost entirely from slaves and peasants. Even the oligarchy.

The "intergenerational trauma" in this case stretches back further than WWII into what basically constitutes ancient mythology. It is an evolved system to reconstitute and consolidate power within that system. The cultural narrative there is intentionally traumatizing, as such that there is a particular disordered response to these matters. It parallels a lot of the defense mechanisms you see in personality disordered people. Black/white thinking, shame vs guilt, extreme measures to avoid shame.

Can somebody point me to any good resources about the relationship between Russia and Syria? It looks like another proxy front is going to open up there, and if NATO is starting to pressure Zelensky to reach a settlement I assume Russia can just flood it with weapons. Basically a reverse Operation Cyclone. The wartime economy has also been pretty good to Russia

Those brain chips are just another grift. In better hands it might be able to help people with neurodegenerative diseases but I wouldn't bank on anything better than cybertruck quality to come out of the monkey murder factory.

I wonder if the insurance costs have skyrocketed

Any news on Egypt?

It's like there's been a media blackout to/from that place. I know Sisi is a cuck and all, but something tells me that might be the next pin to fall. Like skirmishes at the crossing or something.

More than half of people under 30 live with their parents now.

And I'm not saying that's necessary a bad thing, that's a norm in most parts of the world. But we aren't really socialized that way. People are living at home with parents who harangue them daily about not getting a good enough job and who aren't planning on leaving their home to their children.

It's so weird that Macron was swinging dick about this not long ago, even though I don't think they ever had an intention on following through AND the vast majority of the French public was not amused by it.

It's like western world leadership is cutting promos that appeal to like 5% of their constituents and then they back down, pussifying themselves to that 5% anyway

I saw a video a couple of months ago that was so horrid.

A girl was dying after being bombed. her brain was exposed. Her fingers were twitching independently but entirely from the metacarpal joint, in a way that couldn't have been voluntary.

It was filmed by the father, the translation revealed that he was chatting with emergency services via video, where he was basically told there was nothing they could do, that she would be dead before they got there.

At one point, she seemed to come out of trance and touch her own brain, to which the father desperately said "nononono" - a familiar sound for anybody with a toddler, when they pull the cats tail or pick up a crystal champagne flute, only it was her grabbing her own brain, while the father was still holding onto to some hope she might live.

Anyway, some hasbot showed up in the comments claiming he mutilated his own daughter in that fashion, filmed it, because he just hates Jews so much and wanted to make them look bad.

No amount of limiting what I can see will get me to forget that moment. I have actually seen things that are objectively worse, like "the boy with no face". But what I was seeing combined with what was being said changed me forever. I don't think these people can even provide an adequate context because they are missing some human component necessary to lie effectively.

If you cut off my internet access now and for forever, my opinion would be frozen in that place for the rest of my life. I would be shouting about hasbots in 50 years like a vietnam vet shouts about Charlie.
