Any confirmation on the power going out? People on here always dig up shit like that from public websites I didn't know existed.

Both things can true at the same time. The system ear marks groups like this, arms them, and cultivates these beliefs.

The beauty of this particular scheme is that there's a whole history of doing this with these particular people in the west. A dynamic that has shaped both that culture by magnifying it's features as an ethnoreligion, and the surrounding culture by providing a release valve for internal contradictions without completely implicating the ruling class structure. As such, the reality is blended with "tropes" that can be used as an instrument in whichever way is convenient.

When this geopolitical blunder becomes too much to deny, expect them to tell you to hate Jews.

I keep hearing the election is a factor, but I guess I'm struggling to see why. Nobody in power cares which figurehead is the American "president". Foreign policy isn't up for debate - nobody is even bothering trying to run on an anti interventionist platform anymore. They aren't pretending to ask your opinion.

I wonder if this was a more modern type of missile?

Even if Trump wins and wants to pull out of Ukraine he won't be allowed to. Look at what happened in Syria

I've been saying this for a while, and it seems to be the one piece most online commentary I've been seeing misses, even in leftist spaces.

I wouldn't entirely blame Blinken though, even though he is Mossad. The entire state department, department of defense, and defense industry are all one blob at this point with zero oversight and they're all trying to get one last supper before the gravy train has to stop.

I don't know. I saw somebody on Reddit say Bezos had something to do with it.

I did see on a recent Google search that Bezos pulled money out of an Israeli venture. It was food, not weapons. The war was sited specifically as the reason, not ethically, but due to the instability of the Israeli market.

If this is true, my guess is that it's in his interest that the war end. Maybe the shipping lane thing, I dunno.

It's just really weird the WP was the first to post this story, rather than the intercept or AJ or something like that.

I feel like this needs to keep being said, and I sometimes still fall into this trap too.

Everything that the US says is a red line or that they don't want, is something they DO want. They want a regional war, and every one of their actions for the last 7 months have pointed to that.

The parts that seem foolhardy are simply the cracks of incompetence, not a deviation in US-Israel interests. If ever you scratch your head and think "why would they do THAT?" Consider that they are trying to start a war, but in 1994, not 2024 and it'll start to make sense.

I'm new here. Why are you doing this to yourself?

This is self evident to us extraverts without scruples.
