Haven't these stupid hair policies been deemed discriminatory based on sex for years now, regardless of your culture?

And they were even kind enough to put it in writing. The culture aspect of it just makes what's already discrimination, worse.

Unless the original standard agrees and implements it, then you've just created a new standard.

The image quality and the smiley sign hanging up really dates this photo.

When you blockade supplies and infrastructure from an entire region of people, most of whom have done nothing wrong, then yes, food shortages are your fault.

And adding 0.081% to the population every year are stealing all the good jobs uh... checks notes, working in construction and on ranches where actual citizens usually don't want to work anyway.

~~Someone could potentially decide to post something like that in a memes community to cause trouble, which would be worrying for a self-hoster like me. My instance isn't subscribed to anything remotely sketchy, so it sounds like I'm unaffected here, but it could happen.~~

Ignore the previous, that's literally what they did. I went in and manually purged it from the command line by removing every image from the last 24 hours. For other lemmy admins wanting to do the same (assuming a standard docker setup): sudo find /srv/lemmy/example.com/volumes/pictrs/files -type f -ctime -1 -exec shred {} \;

Bad thing about the shire is, in the books particularly, I get the feeling that the Hobbits are super judgy and talk shit about each other constantly behind their backs.

Which, given that the shire is so small and insular, checks out. What else are they talking about after they finish up about the weather or wondering when Gandalf will show up with fireworks again.

“By partnering with the Cfx.re team, we will help them find new ways to support this incredible community and improve the services they provide to their developers and players.”

Allow me to translate:

“By partnering with the Cfx.re team, we will help them find new ways to bleed the community's wallets dry and force servers to pay a cut of their monetization revenue and offer nothing substantial in return.”

Well, according to the proposal, it doesn't send it to websites. It sends all your data to an attestation server, AKA Google probably, and the attestation server sends stuff to the website.

They did cite the original article from the EPA. The chemistry section that has details about the chemical itself reads like an SCP article. Anything of substance in it has been redacted, some entire pages are redacted.

I don't think the author knows what it is, either.

With any luck it'll provide the authentic sort of answers developers have come to expect from a quality site like stack overflow. Like telling you to read the documentation, use the search feature, marked as duplicate, why you're even using that programming language for this, or shilling it's new JavaScript framework that came out last week. All the while reminding you that it's superior and really can't be bothered with your stupid question.

If I hadn't deleted myself off the site, I'd go and write the worst, most cringy, NSFW worthy John Oliver fanfiction that my brain could produce.

The one shame of leaving entirely is I can't do that and won't go back on my principles.
