And there really is no reason other than that. I assumed there was meaning behind it. There is not.
It isn't that bad. Just needs a bit of z-offset adjustment. Your comment isn't helpful as it's just an insult, not constructive criticism. Tell OP what they need to change to make their first layer not bad, don't just tell them it sucks.
As a tech nerd who self hosts stuff, I'm more like "what is IPV6 and why is it causing me issues, I can't figure this out, I guess I'll disable it, wow my problems are fixed now."
I guess I can see why people don't like it, as it's caused me issues, but just because I don't understand it doesn't mean it's dumb. I'd need to understand how it works before I could say anything about it, positive or negative. I guess all I could say is that it's been way less intuitive to me, I can't memorize the numbers, and the reason it exists makes sense. Beyond that, I unno.
I should probably spend the time to learn about it, but I already have a full time job where I work on computers all day, I'd rather focus on my other hobbies while I'm at home.
Or just use Revanced or Grayjay, both of which are ad free and support sponsor block. Revanced is still a bit more feature complete imo, but also more buggy on my device, and more of a hassle to update. The browser YouTube experience is so bad, ads or ad free.
That doesn't even make sense. The earliest standups should be is when core hours start.
I still surf both. Unpopular, I know, but Lemmy does not yet have the super niche communities that barely exist on reddit.
Imo, it's about the same. Some subs have gotten worse, some have gotten better, but that's how it's always been.
Also, tap the three dots on videos you don't want to watch and select don't recommend channel or not interested.
Someone can knowingly be an idiot.
Holy crap, the amount of hate in here, and no actual description of what it does. It's essentially your normal home feed, but only the videos with thumbnails of the selected color. It's also way over at the right of the home feed filters, so it isn't like it's being shoved down your throats.
This is a weird mentality. Competition in the space is good, even if the current "default" thing is really good.
I'd agree that I see way too much Elon stuff on my lemmy feed. This one I'm more interested in than 99% of the others. Maybe it's just cause I'm a gear head, but I'll sure as heck take it over the 10 X (formerly known as Twitter) "news" articles that I scrolled past to get here. News in quotes because it is no longer news that X (more commonly known as Twitter) and its owner are dumb.
This is the comment that's going to make me try it. I love my spreadsheet, so I'll have to see if this does everything that my spreadsheet does.
