Does your school have a robotics team or something along the lines of computing? That would be a good option. Also if you are still in high school and plan on going to college, you still have plenty of time to learn.

Oof, programmers calling LLMs "AI" - that's embarrassing

...but LLMs quite literally come from the field of computer science that is referred to as "AI." What are they supposed to call it? I'm not a fan of the technology either, but seems like you're just projecting your disdain for ChatGPT.

I've been following the Mister FPGA project and just set up my new one. It's a great project. However I do not quite understand what the motivation of these consolized Misters are. It's going to take significant software development effort to make a Mister completely polished, and it is such a niche target audience I'd think it wouldn't be worth it.

Maybe if you're going to theaters like AMC. The locally run theaters in my town are great.

I used KISS for a while and found mlauncher, which is similar in concept, to work better for me. I had to force KISS to restart frequently enough where it became a problem.

It's not even that. Most previews/reviews say it isn't even really a platformer.

I find it funny he thought the resource collection was poorly done. Sure, it's a bit immersion breaking, but getting off the ship to walk over to a resource and hold down a key to collect a resource sounds tedious. I think the problem with some modern games is that they choose immersion over keeping players in the core gameplay loop, and this is an instance where it is nice to see a developer (maybe unintentionally) choose the latter. However I do agree that boarding the ship being limited to a cutscene is disappointing. That was a missed opportunity to expand the core gameplay in an engaging way.

A counterexample to this is the cops in the Covenant School shooting in Nashville that happened not too long afterward. You can find the body cam footage and see cops just doing their job correctly. I know we see a lot of new about our cops failing to do their duty in the US, but every once in a while you can see them doing their job right.

I can’t easily get X on my system to test

This can't be true. If you are on Arch, this should be very easy to do. I've had a backup i3 session available on my system for years alongside sway. It should be as easy as installing an X based DE and then selecting that session from the display manager

This doesn't work when an important part of the process is making sure your data is actually good. If the data is proprietary, there is no way to make sure it is usable.

The entire (well most) Old Testament is the Jews constantly screwing up and doing terrible things while God continually face palms and fixes their mess. The whole reason Jesus is even on Earth is because there wasn't a single soul who could've been a model human being otherwise.

Anyone in the Bible who isn't Jesus isn't meant to be a role model. The Bible is in fact very clear about that.
