I was going to ask about exactly that, I'm very much looking forward to it, thanks !

No, as I said, the default is not showing.

It never shows when booting under normal conditions.

But, it shows when booting after an update.

That's the exception I'd like to remove.

Thanks

I didn't change the config at all, it's default.

Yes, thanks 😅

Hi,

Did anyone try this yet ?

Thanks

[-] KaKi87@jlai.lu 1 points 6 months ago

Hi,

Did you end up doing it ?

Thanks

However, I just discovered the Alexandrite alternative web client has this feature ! 🎉

Wayland, on KDE neon 6. Thanks

[-] KaKi87@jlai.lu 1 points 6 months ago

Those apps are probably running under X11. Make sure they are running with native Wayland support

How do I check these ?

for Chromium apps you should add --ozone-platform=wayland --enable-wayland-ime to the command line arguments

Where ?

Thanks

Hey,

I just noticed this as well, then found your post through my search engine, then was about to proceed in creating a new feature request on GitHub, but noticed I actually already did (Search input in community sidebar · Issue #1648 · LemmyNet/lemmy-ui), merely days before you posted this !

And maintainers have yet to respond to it, so I pinged them, hoping it will help move things along. 🤞
