Primarily defining what extractly is an observer or the point of wave form collapse I suppose.
I am convinced the goal was to provoke a strong response from Israel. The reason is they knew the strong response from Israel would be disproportional and would damage relations between Israel and the rest of the ME.
Israel was approaching normalized relations with most of the major Arab nations around it, most importantly SA. Normalized relations with Israel would likely mean significantly less political and economical support coming to Hamas. Without outside resources Hamas is neutered.
So, seeing the real possibility of a large reduction in their economic and political power in the horizon they took desperate action to stop it, knowing full well the outcome.
No one said ignore mass shootings.
Just gun control in areas it's unpopular.
There are other methods of attacking the problem than gun control. They won't be as effective, but they will be more tolerated by the average American voter.
Take the Florida governorship. DeSantis won out by the skin of his teeth the first go around.
The reason Andrew Gilliam lost was he kept going on about bringing an assault weapons ban to Florida. Such a ban would have never made it though the legislature, so it was an empty promise on top of an unpopular one.
So he shot himself in the foot for no gain and we have been stuck with pudding fingers ever since
Democrats need to understand to pick their battles and read the room.
Aside from some fish which evolved with no eyes (which is kind of cool), the only other thing you are likely to find down there is a dead body that everyone decided was too dangerous to recover.
It's just so hard to see where we transition from here.
We went from a resource economy to a manufacturing economy to a service economy... And now many services are being automated. So what's next?
I'm in favor of the automation but recognize it's going to cause pain in the near future.
I've seen people tout a 'creative based economy', but to be honest LLMs and GANs seen poised to grab that sector before anyone in service can transition to it.
You'd hope all of this would mean an easier life, but so long as capitalism is the name of the game there is zero incentive to spread the benefits among all.
As far as international law goes no this is not a war crime.
If your military takes refuge or uses a civilian center for military operation then that location becomes a valid military target regardless of the risk to civilian lives.
Basically Hamas is commiting the crime by purposefully setting up in these areas. Once they do that then civilian death is acceptable collateral damage, legally speaking.
It's things like this that prevent me from using Linux more.
I force myself to use it for projects where it's an option because I feel I need to learn it better but I kind of dread it every time.
Inevitably I'm stuck frustrated reading conflicting guides from years ago and wondering just how badly I'm going to fuck things up this time.
Sometimes it all feels so esoteric.
That's not how it works were I live.
There are no pumps involved. Fresh water pipes are under pressure from the city water distribution system. Sewage pipes drain via gravity.
There is never a reason to 'pump' sewage because the city sewage lines are below any sewage lines in my house.
I don't have a basement.
I have a crawlspace, the plumbing is all in the crawlspace.
Water doesn't need to be pumped up from the crawlspace because the lines are under pressure from the city main.
Now, if the city water distribution system was down I wouldn't have fresh water, but there are zero water pumps in my home.
As for sewage, the sewer lines are below all my plumbing, so gravity is enough to drain them.
And must testify in the other RICO cases, which is most important.
This is getting the small fries to turn and help catch the bigger fish.
I have a Samsung TV and it's kind of irritating that it does this same thing. Any option you leave selected for a few seconds will start playing a sample
It's frustrating to have to go hunt for a safe place to put my cursor so my TV doesn't start playing something I don't want it to.
