“Everything squirts out,” he added.

Zaken says he can no longer eat meat, as it reminds him of the gruesome scenes he witnessed from his bulldozer in Gaza

Yeah. This ain't that.

Wait... I just looked up what "Pareidolia" means and like this is literally that. Seeing a face out of a pattern?

Like it's on you if you are only looking for the scary ones, the teapot that looked shocked I saw as an example was adorable and the grumpy bag. Oof heart attack of cuteness.

Feel like if you've looking at somethig scary you are gonna be looking for something scary.

They make really just fun absurdist comics. The endless popcorn one always gets a chuckle out of me and makes my day a little better.

I got "unemployed" during Covid and saw everyone bragging about how awesome it was that the federal government was providing extra money and it was like working a good job...

My state let me know they had run out of unemployment insurance several decades ago and I would get just the federal money, reduced down to the state amount, minus the state and federal tax from each check.

Yeah I got so fucked over it's still a shock that people say they legitimately came out better with more money.

trying to build a community

I honestly think that's the big part there. You can build a great app but it doesn't matter if no one is using it and you don't get feed back or it's not shared around.

So, here we are trying to use the newest virtual 3rd space to create a community so that there is people will feel engaged in the product and share it around to add more.

But that's also an issue with discord. It wants to be a social space more than a useful space and it usually gets entirely dominated by a few users with others less inclined to add in. It's also accessible but not easy necessarily to stumble into if you are outside of the community trying to look into it more.

It just does the wrong job, slower and less efficient than old school forums or wikis, but it's the tools we have to use in this less efficient connected Internet of the now.

Or sometimes the colloquial term people have picked up is a simplified tool for getting the right point across.

Just because it's guessing using math doesn't mean it isn't hallucinating in a sense the additional data. It did not exist before and it willed it into existence much like a hallucination while being easy for people to catch onto quickly as not trustworthy thanks to previous definitions and understanding of the word.

Part of language is finding the right words to use so that people can quickly understand topics even if it means giving up nuance but absolutely it should be based on getting them to the right conclusion even if in a simplified form which doesn't always happen when there is bias. I think this one works just fine.

Yeah honestly if a bunch of addicted teens and old people were calling me screaming that I can't take away their drug of choice when that's not even what's happening, and it's not being taken away just moved to where there can be more control on quality.... Then I would be really considering the damage this is doing to them.

I don't know if supporting the junkies being taken advantage of is the altruistic take that these "absolute freedom" supporters think it is.

https://www.inquirer.com/politics/clout/green-party-presidential-candidate-off-pennsylvania-ballot-20200917.html

The Green Party, 2020 election. State supreme Court removed them from the presidential election ballot for errors in paperwork that... Are honestly entirely bureaucratic nightmare to read.

Not the first or last time there have been state based hearings in court to remove candidates especially Green Party. States decide their own ballots all the time. Heck apparently now is a great time to add your name to a federal election ballot since you can't be removed by the state.

We should make the ballot 12 pages long with every single vague or minor party enforcing they can't have their name removed running for any federal position.

Yeah and honestly that doesn't do much to silence the idea of racist origins funny enough.

Holy hell has anyone else looked at the comments on the article itself?

I'm not even sure what my takeaway is from reading through a couple dozen of those but that this certainly is not a great way to get people who already want Russia to conquer a country into a side of empathy.

~ Also that people are still crazy in on Obama being the cause of all our problems which just sounds so racist
