probably the best Christmas song written in the last century. still, I can only listen to it maybe 5 times before the rage sets in

I have a good set of cast iron and steel pans, a dutch oven, and some decent knives. Those get me through a vast majority of my cooking. The rice cooker and blender see a decent amount of action, but the rest of the gadgets just take up space.

I also really enjoy all the parts of the process, from prep work to plating, so maybe this conversation is more about fulfillment. If someone doesn't like cooking, then gadgets can let them spend less time doing it. If I want to make a beautiful roast or extravagant brunch, my time spent doing it is worthwhile to me.

you only ever get one true blind playthrough. I would gladly blank all of my soulsborne knowledge to play through all of them again with fresh eyes.

it's not the same, but if you're playing on PC there are some decent mods for DS 1, 2, and 3 that make them a little more fresh. particularly, the randomizer for DS1 makes it a pretty hilarious challenge, since you can no longer plan your runs in advance, and have to roll with absolutely mismatched gear

the drizzle could work. keep the bread drier for longer, and speed up the inevitably delicious mix of sauce and yolk

everything looks cooked perfectly.

and the plating is nice; maybe only improved with an oval plate that fits the shape of the food better.

ever try the duckduckgo app? I didn't realize it existed until now.

II'm usually on firefox with adblocker, and just use duck as my default search, so the app seems unnecessary. willing to try it out tho

10L of water in one night would be an incredible feat

still using Jerboa since I joined up, and I'm so used to it now that other apps just feel off. I was a rif user in the before-times, and jerboa has the same kind of stripped-down vibe I'm comfortable with
