The thing is that your 20 years greatly skews your perspective on what easy is compared to someone who has never used it. And I agree, it's never been better, but for a lot of people, it just isn't there yet.
My main issue with it is that it's so fractured, it's greatest strength is also it's greatest weakness OSS often lacks standardisation and Linux is a victim of that.
Its slowly getting there, I mean I think it's awesome that SystemD is used by so many distros, it's some commonality between them all.
But then you get Ubuntu trying to be smart and using dash, then it breaks scripts and I want to scream. So there are those actively making it worse, lol.

Most GPOs just set registry settings. So theoretically you don't even need pro, just to set the right registry values and write-protect them

Cura, I've gone back to Prusa periodically but it has too many features hidden behind simple buttons or percentage sliders for me.
It sounds cool but the last thing I want to do when designing stuff is to program anything.
Just.. Don't put stuff in the WhatsApp chat that you wouldn't like shared.. I don't see how it's bad, it's not like all your convos are being mirrored and it's something you never have to use if you choose not to, but it'd be nice to be able to talk to those people who will never migrate away that I've completely lost contact with outside of Facebook since leaving WhatsApp.
