Yeah, Skyrim was my first elder scrolls game, but I went back to Oblivion and saw just how much Skyrim was lacking in creativity compared to previous entries. My prime example is the guilds, specifically Dark Brotherhood and Thieve's Guild. The final heist for the TG is super fun, one of my favorite gaming moments ever. The plot twist of the Dark Brotherhood was a total surprise to me, and Whodunnit is an amazing quest. Mage's guild is kind of annoying but being able to make spells makes up for it. While in Skyrim, I wasn't really wowed by a single guild questline. College of Winterhold sucks, Companions were alright but becoming a werewolf is pretty underwhelming, Dark Brotherhood sees you assassinating an emperor but makes the mission way too basic to give it any real scale, and don't even get me started on the bullshit that is Thieve's Guild.

I still love Skyrim, I just wish they were more creative since it's all they've released the past 13 years.

Minecraft and Undertale are the first two I'd recommend, they're classics for a reason.

Outside of that though? The new Wolfenstein series. Easily some of the greatest FPSes ever made. Killing Nazis is extremely satisfying, and the sequel gets into abuse pretty hard. BJ's dad is abusive as fuck, and they show very accurate depictions of the abuse. The 2nd game has a lot of moments that are hard to get through, but ultimately work because of just how GREAT it feels to kill the shitheads.

Libertarians are at least closer to us than the other parties. I was raised by a conspiracy libertarian, and while I don't even talk to my Dad anymore, I can firmly say that the values he distilled in me as a child are what made me a communist. He was more critical over American intervention than anybody else I've ever met, he was the first person I saw critically support the national self determination of the Taliban. He was even better on China than most people in the States, constantly asking if I actually believed the bullshit on the TV. He was overall anti-China, but knew way more about the nation than I've heard from any other westerner, including calling the Black Book bullshit while criticizing China. If I talked him into it, he'd even be able to admit that Mao was a net good for China as a nation.

I'm probably wrong large scale, but I feel like I've seen a certain earnest conviction amongst American libertarians. As if they have decent values at heart, but have given into capitalist brainworms. I've shown many libertarians Marx, because Marx is just spitting straight facts in the first two volumes of Kapital, there's barely even an emotional argument there it's just pure facts. Usually have to synthesize what he's saying, but they usually agree with Marx's criticisms after having it translated.

In America, Libertarians are the most valuable people to convert. They're already leaving America's party system, and consider both parties to be controlled opposition. All you have to do is shift their window with Marx (or Lenin, depends on the person) and they will shift.

It doesn't, but it's also the only truly communal American holiday. Christmas creates a lot of good will amongst people, I know my union my Grandma represented adopted HUNDREDS of families for adopt-a-christmas every year. However Christmas is still about. But modern Christmas is still based in celebrating your family, not people as a whole. Adopting other families isn't essential for a Christmas celebration. Halloween is a day for children to walk around feeling cool in their costumes, get candy, and just have a good day. It's the one day of year Americans can actually knock on their neighbors door without it being weird. Even St. Patrick's day, the second most communal holiday in America, is entirely based around parades and not homes.

On one hand, I don't think Halloween would mean much to nations with closer communal ties. I get why other nations don't understand why America loves Halloween so much. On the other hand, Halloween's cultural significance of being the only inherently community building holiday in America makes it a more worthy holiday than many others. With how alienated people are becoming from each other, I think Halloween is a more important holiday in America than ever.

I mean arguably the wobbly polygons are important to emulating Playstation graphics. Not using floats gives the PS1 an extremely unique 3d.

But the MGS collection is still disappointing as fuck. I have no idea how Konami manages to give so little fucks about one of their biggest franchises.

Could be, I just see Kelly and Yoloswag in passing, not huge into political cartoons anymore. I always thought they were riffing on Garrison, but this feels like Garrison anyways
