Who is this?
Finding out other people here live in this hellhole is comforting. Sometimes I feel alone out here
I mean how else do you tell people you're a giant asshole?
I mean wasn't Russian literacy super fucking low pre-Lenin? Many of the greatest revolutions ever done were done by illiterate people. Reading theory is good, but some people here treat it as far too important.
It's so sad because nuclear has plenty of issues but also is the only power source that would viably be able to provide enough clean power to provide for the west's high demands. However, nuclear needs to be public to be worth the risks. Capitalism will pretty much always result in nuclear accidents. Sad that their anti-capitalist feeling are redirected towards something that's so promising. That's not even touching on Thorium reactors, which are much safer and hold even more promise but haven't really had enough resources to develop into usability under capitalism.
I'd say that goes to Haze
Y'all are ignoring what this actually is - an app for EVERY video platform. Also, restrictive license is fine as long as the source code is available. Rossman explains this is to keep people from just forking and making scam versions of the app like NewPipe sees.
Rowling is too woke for the conservatives and too conservative for the woke. Everybody is disillusioned with Rowling for different reasons
Metro does, but I think it's more against the cult of personality and dehumanization that comes with illegitimate power structures. The series author has said that the Metro series is based off his emotions living in Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the wave of dehumanization that made slavs split against each other and the rise of shitty leaders using the aesthetic of the old world. I may support Russia on the Ukraine invasion, but Putin (and United Russia as a whole) is a powerplayer reactionary who uses a Soviet aesthetic. I think it's supposed to be more anti-putin than anti-stalin.
The Metro series is about people glorifying a past that isn't achievable in the current environment, and how charismatic but ill equiped people will focus on trying to recreate the past instead of trying to create something new. The games may simplify it a bit, but Metro is a pro Soviet series.
My favorite coffee comes from a local roaster from Ethiopia, even has a giant roaster in the lobby for it. He said he typically uses overcooked stuff for cold brew
I live in the most anti sin tax states in the country. I don't think the state has agreed to a cig tax increase for over a decade, and they can only do like a penny at a time. Marb blacks for $3, Lucky Strikes are $4, can even Signals (like American Spirits but actually made/owned by indigenous people) for $3.50. There are benefits to living in conservative hellholes, it is surprisingly cheap to drink, smoke, and drug your way to a quick death.
Honestly wish smokes costed more here, my kid is only in school 4 days a week now because the district doesn't have the money. If cigs costed more here, I'd be less stressed because of the school and I'd have less money to smoke.
I wish I stole more food at work today. I'm on prep and not the line now so I have a lot less opportunities to make myself something. I still had the opportunity to do a little bit of snacking, but I usually get in at least a solid pound of fries over the day
