Can pokemon consent?
I think most people make the assumption that the current owner has always been the owner, and therefore they're the cause of obesity
It also doesn't help that the human obesity epidemic, and "body positivity" movement tend to normalize obesity in people's minds. I think some of the comments (mine included) are a response to this
Also, some owners just don't realize that they are overfeeding their pets, nor the damage that does to their pets
But that doesn't mean rude, insulting, or assumptive comments are justified
I would suggest mentioning your efforts at weight loss whenever you post pics, just to head off the stream of comments about the subject. That way, people can see you're both cognizant and proactive with the issue
I like Reddit / Lemmy's system best
Auto up vote your own stuff (or just don't allow self voting, same difference), and being able to see both up and down votes separately
Although i think the latter isn't a thing on Reddit
I haven't used Windows in a few years (and never used OneDrive), so pinch of salt time, but...
I don't like the idea of M$ having direct access to all of my files and personal data
That and, there have been mishaps with OD deleting files
Also, i personally don't like software automagic, especially when i don't understand what is going on under the hood
Is OD just a folder? Where are my documents actually stored? What happens if my internet goes out? How much do i trust M$ to not bungle something or sell or leak my files?
IIRC, it was actually Webster, who was writing the dictionary, decided to simplify spelling
A large amount of spelling differences between the US and UK like mould/mold and center/center, are due to him
We kinda do, with GPS satellites that have to correct their clocks due to the effects of gravity and speed
And communication with space probes
~~It's an explicit "opt-out" by the OP, such that their content cannot (legally) be used to train LLMs or such (Chat GPT, Github Copilot, etc)~~
Well, that's what I assumed until i read the license terms. It doesn't explicitly mention AI or LLMs, but it does say
You may not use the material for commercial purposes
Which i assume has the same limitations for AI training, for commercial AI

My biggest issue with wayland was screensharing on Discord, but plasma 6 fixed that with xwaylandvideobridge
I've been using Wayland as a daily driver for a few years now, and I'd say it's ready for 98% of use cases
Boost by default loads a lower resolution image (even while viewing the image). If you tap on an image to "full screen" it, there should be a button in the top right corner labeled "HD". Tapping it should load the full resolution image
Alternatively, go to "Settings > Advanced > Media Viewer > Load HQ images" to always load full resolution images
If you could actually do everything in the settings app that you could do in the control panel after 3 versions of windows I don't think it would be so universally disliked
This was my biggest gripe with the settings app when I still used Windows
I use linux now, and for someone like me who likes to tinker and script, it has been amazing
It's largely going to depend on your window manager or compositor,
But you can achieve similar results using python and your WM's hotkey options
Kde plasma has really good hotkey options
